Unsurprising. I love launch control in Porsches. Brake, accelerator, go!

M3 are defo quick in the roll, anything from 100mph to max it pulls very hard.

A more fair test would be a 911 GTS vs M3, or Cayenne.

Not sure about that.

To be fair, you'd have to couple it with the 4s.

AWD on 911 doesn't make that much difference if the surface is dry. The weight is already over the rear wheels.

How would you know? How many AWD and RWD 911's do you have? I have a GT3 and a Turbo S and can tell you there is a MASSIVE difference in off-the-line traction.

Having a car that starts off in 2nd gear vs a mid-engine car is an interesting race.

Pretty interesting race. Surprised by that 1/4 mile in the Porsche. Nice for a base, cheaper than the M3 and likely faster around a track. Just less practical and with less features/luxury. M3 is a more rounded option, but the 911 is less compromised in the sports area.

Not sure why the gear is important, as it's used for better grip.
The 911 is a rear engine car, not mid-engine.

The same Carrera did 12.1sec (as Porsche stated) in October and not it has suddenly gained power and doing nearly Carrera S 1/4 mile time of 11.6sec. Amazing witchcraft

A base 911 with zero options is $102K.

Yeah I haven't checked Canadian prices yet as well.
I was referring to the UK prices he mentioned in the video.

And yes, Porsches are super expensive with options and they're pretty basic without them, unlike the M3, which makes it an apples and oranges comparison.
