But being in the situation I'm in now where I can't get the Tesla, I'm looking at the G80 and really want one.
Nothing has been passed. But Tesla still would be 7500 even non union. Extra 4500 if union.

M3P won't qualify based on the current price brackets. MYP will, though.

Yes it will under Senate limits. But who knows. That is why I'm waiting. House limits will go up when negotiated in Senate. Not so sure anything will pass tho.

I had missed the last senate number. They were trying to pass 40k not to long ago. Either way, both are the best fast EVs you can buy in that price range right now.

Im interested in getting rid of my commuter for a Tesla, but the 4680 batteries are so close, I would rather just wait for those.

To OP:

Yup, I drove one. Did a 0-80mph and it impressed me. Instant torque, no drama, no noise, etc. As opposed to having to have all the setting right before launching a S58.

Reason for not buying one?

#1 The car has no soul, IMO. No noise=no feedback, see #4
#2 Long trips need to be carefully planned
#3 Electricity is not a bargain where I live
#4 Aesthetics

After waiting about 3 month I got my Model Y performance.
I drive less than 10 miles a day and my ICE cars even wouldn't get warm engine on such short trips so I decided to add Tesla to go Costco, dogpark, etc.
Car is awesomely practical! Lots of space and it goes 0-60 in 3.5 sec so its fun to pass mustangs from the red light.
It's minimalistic design so it's not easy to like but practicality beats all negative things.
And I'm going to keep my ICE cars for now....
