Service Advisor called me and said My vin is no longer affected. He told me they were narrowing down the list of affected cards.

I originally saw my VIN as being impacted on the UK site. I spent 30min on the phone with BMW NA this morning and was told that I'm not impacted. The woman I spoke with said that the original production date range for impacted cars was 7/13-9/23 but has now been changed to 7/28-9/23.

Hopefully that stays true for me, I have a 7/19 production date. Still feel for all those who are actually affected when they finalize the list.

What's BMW NA phone number?
My car has been reported by my CA and Genius as no longer affected, but has been sitting at the VDC for a while now awaiting carrier. Genius or my CA dont know whats holding my vehicle from shipping out.
Maybe BMW NA can provide additional info.

My car is still listed as affected. My sales director as well as service advisor is saying parts for the fix is currently being shipped to the dealership. If parts are being shipped does that mean bmw already knew my car is 100% affected? In other words no chance for clearance from stop sale? Anybody in the same boat?

My car is impacted and I was in for my 1200 mile service yesterday. My SA said they legitimately have no information from BMW. There has been no communication or timeframe regarding the fix.

I'd be shocked if parts were on the way to your dealer. Sounds like they're either misinformed or blowing smoke to try and appease you.

I see!! I wonder if different dealers have different sources of information. Hard to tell. Man really sorry to hear you’re still driving while knowing it’s affected. If that was me I would be sick. I just hope mines get cleared like everyone else’s.

What am I gonna do about it? Sell it? F that! I’ll deal with whatever I need to deal with and hope it’s as painless as possible.

Unfortunately I believe they are just speculating at this point. Mines been sitting at the dealership since the stop sale 🤦 Going back and forth on canceling it but want to see what the fix is and already have waited this long. If it’s new motor then will cancel.

I finally got to a genius that told me more info and was able to verify there is absolutely no more info on a fix as of yesterday.

Just took delivery today after initially being told I had the stop sale. Spoke to the GM of the dealership about this. According to him, they are still in the dark as well and have not been provided any info as to what the fix is. Hang in there folks!

My stop sale was lifted on October 23rd and I took delivery that day. I just noticed in BMW account portal, there is an open recall on my car. Wonder if this is outdated or if the recall has been reinstated for my car. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Nope! Still waiting for mines. Going on a month now too. At this rate I won't be surprised if it goes on for another month or two. This is getting ridiculous, sketchy and laughable. If it gets any longer, think I might just stick with my Lexus or buy something else.
