Midpipe + stock exhaust videos?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey all, in the market to for a mid pipe that I can pair with the stock exhaust for a little volume bump and tone enhancement. If you've installed a midpipe only on your car, could you pop a clip on here so me and others in the market can get an idea of which mid pipe is the right way to go? Thanks in advance!

I went with straight pipe via my local muffler shop (all other parts are stock) and it cost circa 200 bucks.... Its easily the best bang for the buck and once I get a full system Ill just replace the entire unit.

Oh dang that sounds killer! How much of a volume increase did it bring in? I'm looking for the middle ground between "audible beast" and "neighbors form a hate group against my car"

Hard to quantify over stock since I did the mod the same day of acquisition but Id fathom a 30% bump in decibels on the outside.

I think this will be ideal for what you want.

Theres plenty examples of the Valvetronic and PSI mid pipes on youtube paired with the factory rear section. Active released a short clip of theirs. Theres also a few that have posted their Active. For me personally the Valvetronic and Active sound the best being a single mid. They deepen the tone and enhance it a bit. The way the car shouldve sounded from the factory.

I dont have a video, but the active autowerke non-resonated midpipe made a big difference on my car. If you are keeping the car stock, get the non-res.

If you plan on replacing the downpipe and / or the axle back, get the resonated version.

You can also get the single midpipe, works with every setup
