Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite Trim

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Has anyone taken delivery of a 2023 with the new Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite trim? Or even seen it? I'm weighing it vs carbon fiber, but have only seen carbon so far.

I've got IOMG over full Tartufo at status 111, and I like the idea of the alumnum contrasting with the darker leather but haven't seen it outside of the build visualized on the website.

Any pics or thoughts are appreciated.

But the Carbon wheel insert and shift paddles are so good. But I guess that’s subjective to each person.

I'll agree that the carbon steering wheel trim is striking. Though mine is a manual so I am not missing out on carbon paddles.

The fact that you want to swap it out might tell me all I need to know.

It's so rare given almost everyone ticks the CF interior option that I have had so much trouble finding pics online. I found a video that has it, I think, but had to dig and dig to find... still not sure. I'll have mine delivered with this ARA trim in a couple weeks and could post pics at that time. If you get the carbon seats or exterior carbon pack, it makes total sense. But mine doesn't, and I'm black on black, so hoping it's a nice look...

Try this link or the video below and see if this is it?

I like it ! Plus, don't have to worry about fine scratches in it, like CF

Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite Trim

That's some solid investigative work. Thanks.

I think it looks good. In my opinion, a nice contrast to the darker leather and the black on the dash. At the very least it will be a more unique combo.

Definitely post pics when yours arrives.

Agree! And it's a bit nostalgic to that aluminum tetragron trim, but fresh and modern. Can't wait to see it.

I had matte carbon fiber trim on my e93 and glossy CF trim on the F80. It's a cool look for sure, but like I said before without the CF buckets or exterior pack, I think this will be a nice option.

Exterior is fine, I shouldn't have said that. There's a CF roof, after all. Interior carbon bucket seats though def need it

As promised. Initial reaction is good, I like it. It brightens up a dark cabin. Is it exotic and polished like CF? No. I had matte CF on my e93, this feels more like that than the shiny CF. Happy to save $1k, but would probably prefer the CF all things considered… what do you think??

Thanks for posting the pics. I think it looks good. Nice contrast off the dark leather. Question: is it smooth, or is there any texture from the design?

There is texture. You can feel the lines. It's almost grabby when you swipe your finger against it. Not glossy and not smooth. But it's not rough either.

And the trim around the steering wheel is a higher quality finish and material than in the 430i we traded, at least it appears to be.

Appreciate the description and good close up shots. I was hoping there would be some texture. I am even happier with my Rhombicle choice.

Hope you're enjoying the rest of the car as well.

I'm actually pretty happy I didn't go for carbon fiber! I really like how this looks. Thanks for the pictures!

The CF dash looks a *little* cheesy *to me*

I was on the fence with this trim because the pics on the visualizer don’t do it justice. I think it looks good but for me the look is dependent on interior color choice. I’m glad I’m going with the CF trim because it will contrast nicely with the full Silverston/black interior. I think this trim looks great with the darker interior colors. Adds some contrast. Thanks for the pics!

I wanted to save the $950 but when I looked at online pics and the tiny sample at the dealer, it just didn't seem premium enough. Unfortunately I was unable to see a car with it equipped, so it might look and feel better in person.

I don't love the idea of internal decorative carbon fiber, but I do think it looks cool. I'm torn.

It's a tough call for sure. I do think if you get black leather, it makes more sense.
