Every single gloss wrap I've seen has double the orange peel of factory paint. The only way around it is to do a matte wrap then add a layer of clear PPF in order to avoid orange peel.

Not sure what gloss wraps you've seen that have less orange peel that factory paint.

Just watched this spray wrap done on an episode of WheelerDealers. They got a 2006 335 Touring and wanted to goose it up like the new M3 Touring coming out. A tune, larger intercooler, swapped out the exhaust. Then they wanted to paint over the dull grey color. Thought it would be too expensive.

So, they did this kind of spray-on wrap in Estoril Blue. I think they said it was about 2500 quid.

They should, yes…but as they left the sensors in original color (looks it was black), I'm not so sure how far they went with the doors….

Color looks great! But having black sensors left would be a no-go for me. That looks like someone put on some aftermarket sensors and left them unpainted. Not sure how you can go this way on a brand new car

If I found the right episode, they actually reference 1,750 pounds for the "paint job" on the 335 touring from Grey to Blue. Granted it doesn't look anywhere near as good as this M4, but guys that worked with the M4 certainly had a better conditioned car to work with.

Ah. Now I realize the 2,500 number was the mental calculation I did for US dollars. The only problem there is I was using 1.4 for the exchange rate. I also haven't been paying attention that it had catered to 1.13. So, now we're down to around $2,000.

They said there'd be NO math on this forum!!!
