Really was hoping this all came with the mid-pipe and even then you aren't deleting the secondary cats was so close to pull the trigger

AWE mentioned in another thread that anything involving the cats has to be done by the end user. We will likely never see companies design systems that eliminates the cats again since (apparently) they can be fined for doing so. It's just not worth it for them financially, especially when such a small percentage of customers would want that anyway.

I don't remember seeing any full exhaust systems for the g8x that eliminates the cats…though I could very well be wrong. I do not know how/why the Downpipe specific manufacturers get away with selling cat less downpipes.

Just order the exhaust and find a shop to remove them. Depending on where you live that seems to be difficult enough.

Yes, it’s finally released. I can now comment on it.
The black G80 you see above is mines

I had this switchpath since May, AWE use my vehicle as their development car YAY I have their first system. I separated from my G80 March 28 and picked back up from Awe on May 25th if you are counting this is 8 weeks long. Well worth it!!

A bit about the system, to me this how the G8X should sound from factory. AWE hit it out of the park with the design & craftsmanship. Everything fits as it should no rubbing, no tight fits just RIGHT.
The sound, zero drone or Rasp!!! This is the exhaust you want to have if you want that comfort when you just cruising but it can get loud when you want it also.
Overall, took long enough but the wait was worth it as this is one of the most well rounded exhaust available.

Later on I will be posting some videos on here as I had modified my sound a bit. I paired mines with MAD catless downpipes bc as we all know I just couldn’t hold my self lol. Even with the catless DP still no RASP!! This exhaust rocks!!

Feel free to ask any further questions.

I’m more active on Instagram in case I post there first here is my IG handle Jay9212.

I'm notoriously critical on how the S58 sounds, but this sounds great - nice job guys. I'll buy one when my x-drive gets in.

There's a coupon code that you can enter during checkout that gets you the extra 15% off. The code is on the product description pages. Makes it cheaper than direct from AWE

R44 and Fabspeed and AA and Eisenmann is bolt on straight to the downpipes no cutting required. But obviously you have to put it back on for smog.

This is awesome. I'm wondering if anyone has tested this with the manual M3/M4? I'm wondering if there is any drone on highway with the higher revving 6th gear in the manual cars. Also for the dyno chart what was the configuration? (Sport plus, non res / catback system? Track system?)

Thanks for producing this, it's the best sounding exhaust I've heard so far.

Gathering data to apply '23 MYs once everything is concrete (we don't assume anything. Ever.)

Edit: '23s are confirmed and our site now reflects this.

This approach covers all bases while giving drivers a modular upgrade path and varying sound levels if they didn't want to go all in from the jump. We've been doin' this since '91, long enough to know comments like the aforementioned are bound to occur , but we do our damnedest to facilitate flexibility for the greater good of the community

Plain and simple, we're not deleting emissions. No frowns about it.

Simply add the mid-pipe SKU to the cart as well as your choice of exhaust. At least you'll only have to noodle over how to approach whatever upstream you want to part ways with, everything behind that will fit like a glove

Very impressed with both exhausts, good job AWE Team! I'll probably end up with the Switchpath and the AWE mid as a safe choice. I can't tell how much louder the track exhaust is in comparison through the video... I try my best to balance my enjoyment and peace with my neighbors. The no muffler design on the track exhaust looks amazing and light too. I'm glad I waited until you guys unveiled the switchpath!

Thanks for everything, J. Couldn't have done it without you--there were a lot of Gs in and out of here during this project, but yours (which I affectionately donned the nickname Vader's Helmet) is the one that made getting back into my F80 every evening the worst part of my work days that particular week.

Looking forward to hearing it with the DPs as I heard Mike was rev'n for folks at MPact and I missed it, they were all quite hype from what they heard.

Hoping you're well

SwitchPath™ with the NR Mids is the crowd favorite here at HQ as well. It was a definitive "that's the one " moment for me during development. All that clean aggression and no drone is magical. The engineering team implementing 180 Technology® to that rear muffler was a game-changer.
