I honestly was willing to settle for around 10% around 9-10k but I ended up doing a lot more research and found our cars are around 15% so about 14-17k depending on options.

I have heard insurance will try to pay no more than 10% max so I'm sure it will be a fight but who knows
What a mess... so sorry for what you're going through
It sucks I DD my car my other half drives a truck and our 550i was down also so I drove my M3 wrecked for 60 days and then it sat at the body shop for 6weeks fully painted but not put back together because it was waiting on a sensor. I'm thankful to have it back bmw na was super nice they thanked me for not yelling at them when I called to see if they could submit a case like we do at ford that expedites parts instead they said we are super sorry but we can help you out with a few payments. 🥳

I'm honestly just happy to have my car back as of last week and I'm racking up the miles again and enjoying it 🎢

good!! all these points about leasing being better... but with leasing you can only drive so many miles. i've put 3500 on mine in 6 weeks... too fun..

Yea I have a 550 a F150 both comfy road trip worthy and I took my 2022 m3 with carbon buckets on a 7hr drive one way for NASCAR in charlotte. I buy my cars to drive them. I loved cars since I was probably 5 and cars and that's the age I remember riding my parents snowmobiles around the yard and in the woods as a kid.

I'm 42 never leased and I don't even think I could lease one because I would loose my ass on return.

Ouch

If your neighbor files it as a claim through their insurance it’s typically reported to Carfax. I doubt he’s paying out of pocket for all of that. The good news is that you will get calculated depreciation included in your disbursement. You should see a breakdown of parts, labor, and get a depreciation figure.

how were the carbon buckets on your back/hips for that ride

I leased once - a minivan - great decision - but for anything else, not for me either

So when I first bought the car the carbon buckets on the 2hr drive home made my feet fall asleep on a long drive. DDing my car over the short trips my body got used to them and climbing in and out. I love them now they are so comfy and you get used to climbing over the handles and don't even realize it.

My rental car from the accident was a SUV once I finally was used to the handling of the rental. I still missed my carbon buckets and getting back in it last week I didn't realize how much I missed them they make me feel safe like when your locked in a roller coaster seat
