How are AWD allocations going to work?

So interesting question...For MY2022, are specific allocations going to be provided for AWD vs. RWD cars? Or will allocations be for an M3 Comp within which you can select AWD as an option?

These are the questions that keep me up at night. I need help.

AWD will have their own allocations, just like base and comp.

My main question is will it be a standalone model or an option added to competition cars? Waiting for that order guide...

Definitely a standalone model, in the UK the M3CP is chassis code 32AY where as the M3CP AWD is 42AY..

It is listed as a new model on my order sheet, compared to my RWD order sheet, and not as an option.

In addition to the countries where ordering has started for the awd model confirming the following.... throughout the bmw model lineup where rwd and xdrive are offered, the xdrive model is a separate model allocation, including the closest sibling m340i and m340 xdrive.
It would be highly unusual for it to be an option on a shared allocation
