Finalizing my G80 Comp Build - Change my mind
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Although I think Brooklyn Grey looks amazing, I always end up with black, white, or grey/silver cars. Figured IoM green would be a unique but not over-the-top choice. Given the build below, are there any must haves I'm missing? Is full silverstone with piano black a decent combo? Anything I've picked that's overrated and I should cut out? I get that these are personal opinion choices, but I value your opinions. Thanks! Option Description Price 21TP M3 Competition $72,800.00 C4G Isle of Man Green metallic $0.00 3M6 M Compound brake with black calipers $0.00 LKIA Silverstone/Black Full Merino Leather $2,550.00 ZDY Driving Assistance Professional Package $1,700.00 ZPK Parking Assistance Professional Package $800.00 ZPX Executive Package $3,000.00 1T6 19/20 M Double-spoke bi-color wheels, 825M $0.00 3MF Individual shadowline lights $300.00 403 Moonroof $0.00 453 Front ventilated seats $350.00 4ML Individual Piano black finish trim $1,080.00 Destination and Handling $995.00 Build cost $83,575.00 |

I'd keep the CF interior trim. Also drivers assistance professional and parking assistant professional I would leave off
As long as they offer a lesser drivers assistance with lane change warning and 360 view camera I never have used anything else in that package Please please do NOT get a moonroof. Comes with CF roof which not only looks much better/special but is lighter

Tour options look great but I would not do drivers professional and am on the fence with full Merino leather. Would definitely not do sunroof and couldn't tell you the last time I've opened mine. The Dravit Grey may be a option I want also so it would justify not getting full leather. I am really torn on whether to get AWD.

Great advice all. TBH, I completely overlooked that I'd be throwing away the CF roof for a moonroof. Awesome catch.
I'm also swaying toward the CF trim and red calipers that your input helped me reconsider. Much appreciated! I want to get this one right. |

You're doing the right thing by soliciting advice given the amazing (but ridiculously large) number of possible combinations. I have gone back and forth in my head 100 x since September 23rd, and I still don't know what I'm going to do.

I can't believe that's all you get for $83k. Car prices are plain nuts these days. Also thankful that if I do pull the trigger, I get so much more for my money.
Anyhow, I'd ditch the driver assistance stuff and get some carbon. Shit can the moonroof as well. IoM green will be nice. Congratulations.

interesting folks are suggesting against driver assist stuff... Outside the off-centred radar sensor aesthetically, the features themselves are quite great and just tangibly, 1700 bucks for them is much more useful than 2550 for full leather. But maybe I'm just a stupid millennial driver
other than that.. what folks said: red calipers and carbon inlays a better bet for you. Getting the carbon trims also rolls in carbon steering wheel and carbon shift paddles, a much more elevated experience!

I would definitely remove the piano black trim. It's impossible to keep fingerprint proof, and really the CF trim takes it to another level.
To those saying he should get the CF roof over the sunroof, let the man get what he wants in this slot. I love the CF roof, but I value the sunroof all day. I use it religiously, and wouldn't buy one without it. I'll echo what others have said and ditch the ZPY. I'd keep ZPK though, the integrated dash cam might come in handy one day, and the parking sensors/assistance etc is worth it's weight in gold for when the SO drives What are the individual shadowline headlights? |

Base car comes with the lane change warning (part of 5AS), you'll need parking assistance pro for the 360 camera, though, not too bad for $800 and it includes the drive recorder (a little useless, but if you don't typically equip yourself with a dash cam, it could prove valuable in the event of an accident).

This! Black calipers in my opinion. Green car with red calipers seem on the verge of color riot. Red calipers look better on neutral colors like grey, black, white etc...since your car is green, go with black. Even blue calipers will look better than red

IMO all thats needed is
IMOG Carbon Buckets Carbon Exterior package decent wheels everything else is just "extra" I wonder how much weight the CF exterior package weighs? add weight to look fast? lol this is a late night thought that recently came up lol

Why would you not add carbon fiber interior trim if you have the carbon exterior, carbon roof & carbon seats? I don't think the carbon exterior package would add weight. You're replacing non-CF parts with CF parts (diffuser, mirror caps, lip) so in theory it should be lighter, except for replacing the front mesh with solid pieces which might be slightly heavier. We're talking a pound or two IMO.
