I had all my settings disappear after the update. Memory seats, M1 & M2, remote start was disabled, and the app features were disabled. Anyone else have this happen?

The only change I've noticed is the shifts in S3 feel different. When I would leave a stoplight the 1-2 upshift would sometimes shake the whole car/feel clunky, and now it seems a bit more smooth. Otherwise, the text on the infotainment display is bolder in titles — no other changes noted.

So after driving it extensively today for the first time since getting the update, I can 100% say the TCU/transmission programming has changed.
I drive almost exclusively in S3/Sport+/etc via my M2 settings, and this update has certainly adjusted shift timing. I used to experience a clunky, janky upshift from 1-2 after leaving a stop light and that has been eliminated almost entirely. Additionally, sometimes the upshifts would feel more DCT-like while others had a lazier, "regular" automatic upshift, but now they feel entirely consistent regardless of speed, throttle application, etc. Pretty neat. I really enjoy this consistency. |

Guys, BMW isn't tinkering with the transmission shift points with these updates 3 years after the car has been released. They are mostly security updates.

Did anyone else’s remote start stop working after this update?

Yes, I had to reauthorize remote start and reprogram M1 and M2. This normally happens with an update.

After the last update my parking assist auto-brake was switched off. Almost crashed in my own garage... This time I'll be sure to check the settings.

I usually agree with your takes, but this is absolutely untrue. You cannot tell someone their subjective driving experience hasn't changed without, you know, being that person. I drive with the same settings every time and it has without a doubt been modified since before the update. I don't even know why I'm arguing the point because it's irrelevant to me if you haven't noticed a change, but I'm pleased with the new transmission programming.

Glad you're enjoying the car now, but that doesn't mean that something will change for everyone or even has actually changed for you. |

In that case, I would love to know your thoughts once you get on this software revision. If you drive in the same settings daily, and take note of issues or quirks with the manual shifting modes (for me, S3 is used near-exclusively), I would be curious to see if you note a similar change. I haven't observed any changes whatsoever in shift programming outside of the S3 mode. I do keep the car in the laziest, comfort settings on occasion and haven't noticed any differences there.
