FML I guess I lost, I got Pirelli, which is a first for me in my many cars. I'm afraid of the rain on the highway. eeks. I did also buy the wheel and tire insurance, wondering if I get a flat if they would allow me to swap to the michelins.

They replace like for like under warranty. You're stuck.

I only buy what's unsold now and only if it has Michelins.

I have had 2 plugs and 1 destroyed tire already. And one curb rash. Warranty is worth it

Yep, usually comes close to paying for itself. Although with other brands (Audi, Mercedes, Jaguar) I've never paid much over $850-1000. Did the paperwork for the M4 just today and it was $2206 Canadian for 4 year coverage

Suppose it's commensurate with the wheel/tire cost...not sure if it was unique pricing for an M4 customer...

I got “employee” pricing or wouldn’t have done it. Can’t remember how much it was.

Very nice, very nice. They presented me with $6k of extra 'up front' fees never previously mentioned today, managed to dismiss half of it, and there's still about $1800 left with no associated line items so the fight continues...

Just walk. There are plenty of M4’s out there, and they’ll call you back. Unless it’s a manual and unless it has Michelins, in which case keep pushing.

What???? Are you talking about other things like extended warranty and maintenance? Or are these other fees that they failed to disclose to you prior to or upon ordering?

My SA has been very upfront and able to give me an invoice upon ordering, adding MP HAS, and adding tire/wheel warranty. Just wondering what these other $6k of "up front" fees were.

It's my custom factory build haha.

Also enjoying $4500 of our Canadian 'luxury tax' assessed 20% on the value above $100k.

$2000 Tire/Rim Warranty
$3500 Glass/Light/Interior worry-free repair
$1270 4th year pre-paid maintenance option
$1699 mandatory "BMW Excess Wear & Tear Protection"
$595 'Admin' fee - I went as high as the GM...can't take it off.
$470 mandatory BMW anti-theft
$400 Tire Levy/Air Tax/Winter mats/Provincial association fee

Said no thanks to about $5k of that, but damn they pushed hard with 3 separate people trying more than once each.

Tire/Rim I can see

4th year maintenance, I would pass won't cost you that much off warranty

"Mandatory" BMW excess wear & tear protection....never hear such a thing

'Admin' Fees might be similar to registration/title fees that we have in US

"Mandatory" anti theft? Car has an alarm system built in

The last one sounds like some unique Canadian taxes

Crazy that they did not make you aware of this prior to delivery. I asked my SA about all the extended warrenties and tire/rim stuff up front. Told her I would be making zero decisions on the day of delivery and to provide me with all information upfront. These dealerships try to con you into buying all this over priced crap cuz you are there trying to take delivery of your car and think that they can blow smoke and make you believe there is fire in the heat of the moment. Sickening that they had mutiple people try multiple times to get you to buy extra stuff. You are buying a car not being interrogated for a crime!!!
