Wow! Looks badass. I just placed my order for the M3 Competition xDrive. Trying to decide between Brooklyn grey and Frozen dark grey. I prefer the contrast with the black and CF trim on the Brooklyn grey, but the overall look of the car is just incredible in Frozen dark grey.

Can you get this color with the driving assistance package? I heard some individual colors you cant so I wanted to ask!

Assist plus is disabled but everything else is available.

Yes. In traffic I only have to touch the steering wheel when prompted. The car will keep distance, speed and lane on its own. The assist plus will change lanes but with individual paint this is inactive. Apparently the paint has to go through certification for the radar sensors and because the individual programme offers so much options assist plus is coded out.

Hmm...I believe when I intro'd myself to the group and said I ordered a FDG M3, you said I should look into DG, no? But now you've switched to FDG, right? I'm currently torn between FDG and DG. The FDG gives me that visceral reaction, but I'm worried I'll eventually get tired of the satin/mat finish. That said, definitely still leaning towards my original pick, the FDG.

Well that sucks! I rarely ever use cruise control to begin with, but when I go to resell it I would like to have all the options. I guess it will be all except assist plus, unless I don't get FDG.

Yes. Never thought I'd use it as much as I do. Find it a pita when I use my other car now as I've got used to 'switching it on so I can switch off'

If you've not seen FDG in person, you don't know what you'll be missing out on. DG was initially my first choice but then I switched. Still like DG but it was the gold flecks in sunlight I wasn't 100%.
Here is two shots of mine, one in sunlight and one in the shade. Incredible how much it changes, in overcast weather it's matte black imo.

Frozen paint will imo be way more considered in resale value than assist plus will.

Ordered my car week 39, 2021 in dravit. Delay delay delay and around Jan 22, I switched it to FDG. That added even more delays. Then they started removing options (touchscreen). At that point I walked away and bought a black RWD M3 on a dealer lot. I had that two months before a Dravit with the exact spec I had originally ordered popped up at the same dealership I got the black one from. So I traded it in for the dravit AWD one.

So I am currently in a dravit. I am happy I did dravit. While I LOVE LOVE LOVE FDG. My kids seem to love to bump into my car somehow some way which requires me to buff it out. I would not be able to do with that with FDG.

I still would love to get a FDG one day though!

I was in the same boat as you. I always wanted FDG, however the cost and the maintenance scared me off to dravit grey originally. it looks great. It's just not stunning to me and I was very anti gold flakes. I went back to frozen. I'm glad I did. Yes it's nerve wrecking the maintenance of this car. Ppf the front and get your first chip and move on and you will love it. I keep on turning back. Sitting in my garage and staring at it.
