Looks like Mexico Blue, anyone else agree? Too bright for YMB.

Yes looks like Mexico and a great choice for the G8X as it looks here. Good explanation of the wheel choices. Another good to the point video, I don’t think we had this level of wheel information video for the F8X at launch.

Yes!!! I've been refreshing the page like a degenerate waiting for the next episode!!
I love how all of the options are forged... but today something has changed. Until now I thought the coolest wheel in the world was the BBs FI-R with its milled lightweight holes, but that has been superseded by those M Performance wheels! Hot damn!! I hope the next CS comes with those stock! So hot!!

F8x wheels were really weak @ launch. 437M and 513M were not exactly the most exciting things we had ever seen, especially the 437M in silver.

I've gotta say the F8X 18" were forged for the first time! That was pretty exciting for me!

Great point, but they were very vanilla in terms of styling.

Incredibly vanilla. Fortunately they made up for that with the sweet wheels for the CS!

I actually loved the 666M when they went bi-color.

I know it's not the point of the video, but I wish they'd done it in a brighter studio and showed that blue car color more, and mentioned what color it is.

I asked in the follow-up Q&A for wheel weights. Other than, maybe, the M-Performance wheels with extra FEA sauce, I can't imagine any of these to be lighter than the 19" forged 437Ms.

F8x was the first M3 to have properly light wheels (except 666M) even though M3s had forged wheels since the E36, I believe. And it was the first M3 to have all of its factory wheels forged. So I was hoping they would share weight figures in the video... Too much fluff. Thought this was about technology and engineering.

I've read on the 8 series forum a guy weighted is 863M wheels (same as 963M but 4x20inch) and they were around 20lbs, if 963M are in that range it's impressive for OEM wheels.

I was so excited to finally see the standard wheels, but if you blinked you missed them....Wow, they did not even give us a straight on view, but they had more shine than I was expecting, gray with a little shine? I would call them a light gunmetal or anthracite.

I'm thinking the SPY wheels will only go well with the SPY car, or maybe black, or, maybe dark blue? Ok, maybe there are some other options. The all black version of them doesn't excite me as much as you can't really see the detail in it. That's one of the things I like about the bicolor 825's - the 2 tone really brings out the detail in the design.

Most of them look like a diamond cut finish - looking forward to seeing loads of these wheels looking tatty in a few years time!

Interestingly they did not cover the 20”/21” M-Performance wheel option
