Thankfully it wasn’t me on a flatbed and I was able to drive it up to the dealership this AM. The low coolant light went off and never came back on. They did a pressure check and said everything was good and no leaks and that it was probably a tad low from the factory and that the with the drop in temperature it probably went right below the minimum which triggered the warning. On the bright side they did my oil change service two months early so I’ll get another free one before the maintenance plan is up next December.

The M4 just got a little brother. It’s a 2001 Z3 2.5i and it is ROUGH. It’s going to need a full tear apart detail inside, new suspension, new brakes, a new top, LOTS of interior repairs including the infamous seat bushings and sagging glove box, a repair of some sort of yet-unidentified leak, and a change of all the fluids. I’m going to do it all myself, and will even attempt to reupholster the door cards and seats. Wish me luck.

Yikes, definitely in rough shape but should make for a fun project car! Nice choice on color.

DriveWithDray is currently working on a 🤡 👞 so he might have some good advice on places to hit up for parts, etc.

I don’t mind dancing with the devil in regard to state limits on window tinting but interested in what others are using and how they like it.

I signed the waiver and went 20% on sides and back. Last car was 35%, I'm liking this much more!

IIRC, I had done 30% all around and then 70% on the windshield.

I did the legal limit on the front and rear windows and then 70% on the windshield for the heat rejection. Nice thing about tinting the windshield is that I was then able to see the HUD with polarized sunglasses on.

The one car and waiting has been killer! I had no idea I’d be waiting this long for an X5 when I started this whole process in August. Apparently individual colors on the X vehicles really delays the process. It bumped my production week by 9 weeks and so far I’m supposed to be week 49 but I’m still stuck in 112 status. I return to the office in January so I’m really sweating this whole one car deal at the moment. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I threw caution out the window and did 5% on the sides and rear and 50% on the windshield. I've been rolling with this setup on my cars for years and wouldn't have it any other way.

I recently picked up an x3 m40i that had 5% all the way around, and something on the windshield. It's great in the valley, but I live in dark sky Flagstaff and you literally cannot see out of the windows at night...i had the front side windows replaced with 30% and will likely do the rest of the vehicle soon. I also had the windshield tint removed, as it was done rather shittily. I honestly think the vehicle looks better with lighter tint. I'm not filming BangBus here.
