Delivery process questions

Hi,

I’m scheduled to pickup an M3 in a few days. The SA wants to setup a phone appointment with Finance to sign the docs. I haven’t seen the car yet in person. I was under the impression that the signing will happen the day of delivery once I do an inspection. Is this the regular process?

It's not unusual to handle the paperwork and EFT early. PCD is one example where everything is done in advance.

I’ve taken possession of car numerous times sight un seen. I don’t think you need to worry about it. Plus it saves you some time in the dn finance office where they’re hard pitching you all the add ons.

I’m having my G80 shipped from the dealer next week. Did you complete all the paperwork electronically? In the past they’ve required wet signatures and do everything by snail mail.

I sign in person after looking at what delivered. I’m not paying up front, sorry.

It’s not completely unusual, it’s more likely the Finance manager wants to do this to see if you’re buying any extra services, and if not he doesn’t want to waste any extra time with you.

You can not take delivery over the phone though, so it’s meaningless until you sign the documents and drive the car off the lot. I wouldn’t worry too much about this process.

Not yet but it should be all electronic, atleast for my dealer
