Build Week 38 - MY '24

Called BMW Genius today and joining the week 38 club! I placed my order only a couple weeks ago, so everything has moved pretty quickly. I've heard many horror stories about 1yr+ waits JUST to get an allocation. I was lucky enough my dealership had one available with no wait. I'll be doing the Performance Delivery as well. Dealer got the request in before the Sep 1 cutoff. This is my first BMW and I'm excited af

just got pushed to week 41...likely due to my port installed accessories and/or summer break. bummer! but, good things come to those who wait and we are lucky to be able to own these beautiful machines!

port installed accessories have no bearing on production week.

I'm scheduled for BW38 but I'm still 102... Has anyone else moved passed this status? Genius told me I'm scheduled but I feel like it's a tentative build week

Yuppp so I imagine my actual build week is more like 40+ but genius told me 38

Yeah, BMW has to confirm your individual build and then your production week will switch.

In my case, I picked up an order that was dealer stock, 112 status. It was originally week 31. When the dealer changed to my specs and re-submitted as a confirmed customer order, it switched to week 29. Subsequently I screwed that up by adding an individual option which sent it back to 111 status.

So once your individual paint is confirmed, you'll get a status update and a new week.

Anyone seeing movement? Mine went back to “order received” after I added the bucket seats. Still stuck there.

No, nothing yet. I've been watching the week 36 and 37 guys and starting to see movement there. Suspect we have another week, maybe 2.

Week 36 people are now getting their vins. Some I think went into production. I am week 37, and I have no vin yet I think a couple got vins(m4s tho). I'm expecting I will go to 150 status and get in the beginning of next week. It seems that most people get the vin a week to a few days before their production week begins.

Call your CA or the BMW Genuises. If you give the latter your production number, they will give you the VIN.

Put that VIN into the My Garage site and you’re golden.
