Build Week 38

Well, I just changed my order, which was 112 and scheduled for week 29 from Silverstone to Ivory Individual. That pushed me back to week 38 so I thought I'd start a thread to commiserate.

Gonna be a long wait, lol. I'm just happy I kept the same commission number and didn't have to wait for another allocation to become available. My garage still shows the commission number with the corrected options, and the dealer website shows "1-Customer Order" with my name on it so phew!

Oh well. Waiting is temporary, regret is forever. Can't wait to see this thing built! Will be a nice fall present!

Just an FYI, you may move up or back a week or two or more. You're probably back in 111 again, but once you hit 112 that'll be your confirmed week.

Yup, figured that. I am definitely back to 111 status.

The rep said 6-8 weeks delay. This is 9 so hoping that 112 status shows me moved up!

Well, check in this week and still at week 38 projected. Haven't moved forward but at least I haven't moved back!

Anyone else have this delivery week?

Yes, as expected. I was told by the BMW regional rep that when I changed my interior to include an Individual I would get kicked out of 112 status and be delayed about 8 weeks. Turned out it was 9 (29 to 38). Dealer told me still shows week 38 but he wouldn't be surprised if it sneaks forward.

Is what it is. As long as it doesn't go BACKWARD I'm fine with the delay to week 38 since it's of my own making.

Got my order in this week, went to status 112 nearly instantly. BMW Genius confirms build week is 38. Delivery port is PHMPOA (California)

7/28: notified of allocation
7/29: specified order
7/31: order received, status updated to 112, production number received, order appears in My BMW app.
