Either way I have no ETA and still have not left the port. It's been like this for about 1 1/2 weeks at this point. Even if it ships I can't take delivery until the two parts are installed. I'm guessing late November or December now for delivery. I'm hoping for best but planning for worst.

Mine finishes assembly Monday (if according to plan; entered assembly line as of early Friday). PCD delivery, so headed to Charleston once it's ready to board a ship. Going to do PPF before it leaves Greenville. Winter tires and rims awaiting at the local dealership.

Dealers can offer a winter package for the G/80 - G/82, I think its a good deal. $3907 for the 829M wheels with Michelin Alpin tires. Comes with tpms and center caps and road hazard protection. Milwaukee North is also including one year of storage.

I'm getting PPF installed at Extreme Colors in Greenville before I hit the highway. Ambient temperatures closer to home will be below 45F by then. I've mapped a route on 2-lane roads to northern Kentucky, then interstates through Indiana and Michigan. We'll just pull off and park if there's frozen precipitation falling or on the ground. I also have differential fluid waiting at the dealer for when we reach home, as it'll be due for its 1,200 mile service. (And that fluid is back-ordered, as often as not, especially due to severe labor shortage at the Midwest parts distribution warehouse.) |

I may have some all seasons shipped down to SC and ship the summer tires home. Wisconsin is going to be similar to MI for cold and we have a stop off to see some friends before heading home so I really don't want to push my luck on the summer tires if I'm taking delivery in Nov. I'm waiting for my PCD dates so I can book PPF at extreme colors. Car will be stateside oct 16th then my two stop sales need to get fixed. Once they are fixed and I get my PCD date the rest will hopefully all fit together.

Scariest drive in recent memory was returning home in a new-to-me X3. It arrived one night in early January from San Diego with 7,000 miles and 20" Pirelli summers on it. The highway home had an icy glaze, which made that SAV slither all over the lane. It actually drove better on two-lane roads with some snow on them. Once finally home, I realized the rear tires had ~2mm tread on them! |

Dealer gave me a bit of a “deal” on my set up - the 829ms w Michelin alpin tires for $3700. A bit pricey but I think they will look good. They are waiting for me and my car at the dealership. They gave me free winter storage and told me they’d swap them for the summers at no extra charge when my car arrives. I think I just have the ram stop sale, geektech what are your two stop sales? I don’t know if they are keeping mine at factory to install the ram I’ve been in QC since 10/7.

I'm (12) days behind you, Geektechlive. Olympian Highway arrives Charleston on Halloween Day. I just have the RAM stop sale before it moves on to the Performance Center. I'm also assuming early December at this point.

So how hosed am I if I got on a waitlist for an allocation late July? Any chance I'm seeing this car before spring 2022?

I don’t think they had any allocations given out in the last month or so. Any guesses would be pure speculation. I got my order allocation and order accepted 7/22. My car has now been in quality check status for over 3 weeks. I’d say it will be delivered sometime in late November/ early December. Roughly 4-5 months from allocation to delivery for me. If you get an allocation in the next month or two I’d say you could hope to take delivery in April- may. Again this is just speculation, no way to know if parts shortages will improve or worsen. Have you checked into lease brokers? Sometimes they have allocations available. I posted a cpl months ago that international autos in Milwaukee area had an allocation available at msrp, no one responded or pm’d me I was surprised based on all the bitching going on . Give them a call if you haven’t already not sure if that one was ever snatched up but I bet it was. I also see built cars available on this forum from time to time.

I'm Megally on the line, my deposit was placed in august and I moved up three spots all this past week. Didn't move before then, my SA at one of my locations sends me pics every week of my spot in line since I drove him so crazy on the beginning because he wasn't clear |

Wow - bmw keeps taking orders even though they can’t deliver the ones already taken. Where is the dealership? They must move a lot of m cars.
