If they really had to this grill I wish it was little wider may have given it a more meaner look. To me they look to long.

I am starting to really like this direction BMW has taken. Yes it's completely different, but that's the point! It's to start the next generation of BMW design. Most people don't understand BMW or have done there homework on the history of BMW. If you do that you will see BMW has changed there cars with each generation leap. This being an M car not a M-sport but a true M. It had to be different to start the next chapter for BMW.
You have people here who will buy BMW for the NAME- You have people here who will buy BMW for the Performance- Then you have people who buy BMW not for just the car or how it looks but because you want to own something that has history and was a part of racing history. Most young people who buy BMW don't even understand what they are buying they just think it's something cool! As always all the haters who don't like it now! When they see one in person or it's been modified- They will be the first to run and buy one lol |

The threads should be about the move to a torque converter automatic and all-wheel-drive.
But they f*cked up the front of this car so bad, no one is even talking about the physical components of the car. |

Really baffled how people can label this as "aggressive" or as the title says "looking aggressive" ... like how much did they pay u for that opinion. I'm seriously, totally, baffled. Aggressive compared to what? A pink VW w the flower cupholder on the dash? Ok, sure, congrats. *sigh*

Almost every car company is doing big grill now.
Not sure what all the fuss is with BMW joining in. But that ACC off center is definitely an issue though. Also why does every ICE use these big ACC modules and Tesla doesn't. |

Car looks great so far. Sucks the M xdrive wont debut alongside RWD. It would be a great replacement for my current 540 xdrive.
Glad to see BMW management is not afraid of change. Excellent blend of modern, bold design and cues from BMW roots (328 from the 30s). Masses will follow and so will the sales figures.

I don't think it is the idea of a big grill that is the issue for most people, it is how the big grill has been executed.

I'm sure many would grow to like the new elongated grille. It doesn't look that bad to me now compared to the beginning.

Parts of it do look aggressive however the rest not so much. There seems to be no fluidity or continuity to this design. It's like a path that leeds to nowhere. Aggressive parts, Relaxed parts,, sharp angles, smooth angles , compressed areas, exaggerated areas. One end contradicts the other. As far as dated is concerned, everything old is new again. Retro designs are over the place (granted American muscle etc, but still trending) . I think a retro/restomod version of a larger E46 shape would have worked much better than this direction. I think those and the F30 were the last true hard-core M3s. The E92 was truly eye candy, however the low torque V8 couldn't hold a candle to that smooth inline 6. Again, just my opinion. I'm 100% sure this car will perform amazingly, however it should not have to grow on you. To each his own I guess We will see. Cheers!
