I guess not as other BMW models sold in Canada have this option. For G80 still to be seen, but I guess the plate might sit higher and not block the sensor.

Bumping this thread. I thought I read something that mentioned this option could be coded to do more. What more? I dont know. Im curious to know if this option has gained or lost any fans? Im tempted to not get it. I dont care too much about it slowing down for traffic and keeping in lane. But if coding makes it do cool things Im not aware of, Im open to hearing about it.
Any updates from those who have this, or have it coded?

I love this option, it didn't delay my car at all and I'd never get it any other way. shit happens and if for nothing, the added safety is a huge factor for me, the car doesn't let you crash it when all systems are on. Even if prevents one accident it readily pays for itself. Up to 40 mph it is L2 AD which means it pretty much drives for you with no hands on the wheel including lane change. at higher speeds it does the same thing but you have to touch the steering wheel once in a while... helps in those nasty SF bay area traffic jams. If it's just a weekend car may not matter but for DD, it's awesome. really good bang for the buck IMO.
