The car is an M car its meant to be driven hard, so the racer or whatever comments don't really make sense haha, if you don't want that then you should probably have a 320d or so

As for the advert it could have done with a bit more actual demonstration of proper driving of the car and showing of the cars, rather than just the air shots of them skidding around.

I couldn't agree more that the M4 video on the carrier was defo the best bit of advertising they did.

As for saying these cars and who they are meant to be sold to, that doesn't really work that well as people of all ages buy them, I know many people in their 20s with them, myself included having an M4, my friend and M2, and various others.

Its not just for the wealthy posh boy poser anymore haha, its a young guy's car as well, so I can appreciate that they are trying to make the advertising more suited to the kind of driving these cars are meant for at the same time as trying to appeal to the age range they are dealing with, for the fossils that don't get it, they should make a 320d Efficient Dynamics Advert instead visiting the Garden Centre at 20MPH with some opera on in the background or so

It is indeed exhausting! It's also a shame, that by now, the haters have not moved on to something they like and allow those who appreciate the new design to enjoy it in these threads.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but, unfortunately, after this much time with all of the excessively repetitive interjection of distain for the new design by the same individuals into these threads it just becomes akin to trolling.

Trolling by the way, to those who may not know, is akin to constantly pissing in someone else's cereal 😕!

I guess I'm the minority here because this hit the mark for me. I'm 37, drive a Sunset M2 Comp and had a Sapphire/Sakhir M4 before that.

I like flashy, sporty coupes and sedans. I'm a modest guy otherwise but I like my cars to make a statement.

This is edging me closer to pulling the trigger on an IoM Green M3 manual. So I'm apparently the market their targeting. *shrug*

It's a young woman's car too. I've seen 20-something women in the f8*.

This. I'm not here to hate on the car itself but marketing strategy is a bit odd. It's like they are going for a younger crowd but forgetting that the MSRP is nearly $80k when optioned. Maybe they are hoping to catch those people that fell in love with F&F when they were younger when it first came out? But I feel like those people, like myself, have refined their taste over time and don't really respond well to this type of marketing. This type of racer boy F&F image is what has kept me away from certain cars in the past.

Then again, this is my take, and it's likely a bad take, as I can only speak for myself.

All that said, the last few seconds is 100% of the 6MT vs DCT threads on the F80 section lol.
I bought my first M3 at 25, most of my friends had them before 30 - they want to catch the guys coming into their first but job and have free cash to spend. BMW used to be a bit staid in their marketing, so I don't mind the change.

Clearly targeting the Millennials. You can afford anything while living in your parent's basement and not paying rent, groceries or utilities.

I see people of certain cultures doing the same thing and they aren't millennials.
