Getting it in black means you want the new drive but not the new looks. The front-end doesn't really grab your visual attention like these vibrant colors do.

What I like most aesthetically is the overall contours of the body. Black makes it much easier for the eyes to see the bodybuild aspect as a whole rather then gaze at the radically changed front-end.

That picture either has unfortunate reflections on the wheels or that particular wheel color is terrible with the black G8X.

It’s so distracting I can’t judge the package and color fairly.
Reminds me of this wheel/tire style.

Wouldn't say black means you don't want the new looks??

I like black cars cause they look more aggressive and at night they look a lot cooler, but also it's low-key, I wouldn't have a loud coloured car unless I was buying a lambo.

I’m telling you, once you get rid of the sunken badge and bonnet lines leading up it - improves out of site.

If they fixed that I’d buy one.

Is in german, but some first sound, drive (manual car on street and track) and setup. He's a famous german youtuber invited by BMW M GmbH.

There is also one where they checkout the cars without camo.

Yeah I think it's just the reflection. Even the front lip looks like a white-pearl color.

That's funny because if I was getting a Lambo it would definitely be in black.

Bingo, my sentiments exactly. Black is the only color I'd seriously consider for this new front end; everything else just automatically draws way too much attention to the grill.

Alles klar, Herr Kommissar?

Thanks for the vid. I didn't understand 99% of it but it was a good watch.
What were they saying about the seats at 6:27? It seems the carbon fiber seats have some sort of comfort function along with movable, if not active side bolsters.

Yeah and unfortunately no subtitles...

He said that the seat may be tight for some people, so the BMW guy mentioned that he can adjust the side bolsters also with this seats like on most BMW seats...
So yes, they are adjustable but not active bolsters.

The best part of this video for me is at 19min20 where he shows that when you shift, the engine keeps boost so you instantly feel power and seem to get a proper "throw you back into the seat shift". This is one of the biggest improvements I was looking for in the manual and hoping it would make it on the G80.

The shift lag on the manual F80 is the biggest flaw of the car in my opinion. 1st to 2nd is fine but 2nd to 3rd and so on, absolutely terrible lag when you shift, no matter how fast you shift. This has been brought up by some in the past but maybe downplayed as a shifting issues and no so much the car itself, but it is in fact a big problem in the f80. After driving my buddies 718S, it was very clear that this was an issue on my car, the Porsche just kept pulling hard each shift, no delay.

So this is very cool to see, hopefully this can be felt during a test drive when they start coming out, but it would be awesome.

Yaeah absolutely

And in general they seem to have payed attention to details for the G80

And I'm sure you can feel that on a test drive, otherwise you have to change dealer

Not going to happen. These cars are HUGE and always will be big. Maybe a CSL version around 2025 will knock off some weight.

Found an M440 in Frozen Portimao Blue on the Canadian site. Confirmed this is Frozen Portimao Blue on a BMW M Facebook page:

"Paint finish shown: BMW Individual Special Paint Frozen Portimao Blue metallic."

It's darker than I'd hoped, even in this obviously edited/direct sunlight shot.
