Post-reveal Poll: Like or Dislike G8X M3/M4

The G80, G82 M3 and M4 have been revealed. A poll has been circulating from several months ago about if you like it based on leaked images and camo images. Several members have asked for a fresh poll to get opinions now that it has been revealed. This is that poll.

It was intended to capture if you like the aesthetic design of the car, exterior and interior. But if you want it to capture your feelings on the drive and other aspects of the car, feel free.

Hold off until you see it in person if you want. But note that this is the last poll that I will create, and you can only vote once (can't change vote) - you've been warned, haha.

I will do this one a bit different and add options to show extent of feelings

I was apprehensive when we saw the leaks and the day of release liked it better but after only a few days of watching several videos I am surprised how fast I am starting to really like the front end. It really does look mean, aggressive, and unlike any other BMW. I understand the haters will continue to bring up the retread posts and gifs in hopes of generating likes but I also hope they realize that a lot of us are starting to like the looks of these cars and no amount of recycled hate and beating the dead horse will change that as it's a matter of time until some of the haters come around. In fact I'm sure several are warming up to it even if they won't admit it. I know I've been there with other car designs where I've reluctantly accepted that the looks have grown on me. This will be the same for many (not all of course) whether they want to admit it or not.

the car is simply more interesting than it competition and a damn good value proposition after you get over your preconceived notions of beauty...glad to see the polls now and funny to see the rollercoaster of emotion over the last days

M3 potential buyer.

I dislike the height of the grilles, they are too tall and always will, no matter what, but I like the car because it has a manual transmission and I can buy it new.

So, dislike the design (front), but "would purchase" would be my designation.

I really, really wanted to hate it. I didn't want to be tempted and after a long stint of BMW ownership, I wanted an easy "out" (read: excuse) to explore another brand.

But I'll be damned, the G80 is growing on me. Really not a fan of the M4's proportions overall, but in both cases, the bumper is starting to look more and more attractive. Reserving final judgment until I can interact with it IRL, so voted "like it" for now.

The M3 is a no, I just can't see it as a cohesive design, the M4 in black on the configurator looks great from the side/rear and rear 3/4 and inside (love the new buckets etc...) from the front still iffy but I could live with that if the car is amazing to drive (I already have the S58 in my X3M so understand the engine)

Can't vote though as I'm torn, although overall I'd have to say dislike as the M3 is a mess to my eyes.

I might add/buy M3 Competition.

For some reason M3 stands out more than M4..

If you are an MT driver, this M is definitely worth considering.

I like everything about the new designs, except the huge front grills took some time to get used to. Now I find the front grills to be very unique and aggressive looking in a good way.

I knew the consensus would change once more and more videos are released. It went from 80% hating it to 2/3rd like/loving it. I assume that number will increase as more and more images/vids/reviews pop up. I'll be ordering an M4 w the manual at launch.

I doubled down with strongly dislike. Been a long time fan of the M3 and loved it at launch with each successive generation. This one stirs no emotion in me.

I dislike the exterior of G8x car. It's like a wannabe car. Maybe I'll wait for the bucket seats in the member classified forum, there maybe someone will sell it immediately. I'll buy them and install it to my F82.

We need this to go on the front page or somewhere to bring back the people that left this section of the forum because they already participated and left their dislike comments when the car was revealed.

In the few days after the reveal, it seems like this forum is more saturated with people that like it, which is logical since they now notice it and came to this forum.

It'll be interesting to see how much of the votes changed due to the "spam it in your face until you get used to it and change your mind" strategy.
