In a typical "forum members know more than Sales General Managers" case, they said no to my FPB build under the HEA allocation, as well as saying no to my CF Bucket option.

My client advisor said they would approve it, his boss said they would approve it, mkoesel doubted it from the start and was correct.

On a positive note, I'll have a fully customizable allocation and can submit my initial Fire Orange request. Hopefully, that will be approved.

"forum members know more than Sales General Managers" true in most cases!

So when does the non-HEA allocation go into production? Since you're in an M3 CS you can be more patient than poor guys like me in a 335i

I'll know soon. I have the fist allocation being given to a high volume dealer in the 2nd biggest market for luxury cars in the USA. It's gotta be pretty soon lol.

I would think you + dealer will have a few leverage points to get frozen fire orange approved
-the dealers scale (they must have some contacts higher up)
-it is an official color ROW so the factory should already have inventory and it's been approved by the bmw style police for this model (vs a random individual color request)

Frozen Sunset Orange is a ROW color. Fire Orange (not frozen) has not been used since the Lime Rock E92. It is, without a doubt, the ballsiest factory color BMW ever came up with.

See attached.

I had submitted an F80 build in Fire Orange but they ended production earlier than expected because of a new emissions law in Europe (didn't make sense to jump through the regulatory hoops given they were 3-4 months away from killing the model). I have unfinished business with this color.
