If it's true then BMW significantly downplayed the offering and it would be great news but something tells me it's a mistake. |

Why does everyone keep saying their build costs >$100k USD when the specific packages and pricing for the US haven't been released? Sure, if you tick every single option including individual paint, interior, CCBs, etc.
I'm guessing most US customers will go for the Executive Package (which costs between 2500 - 3900 for the X4M and X3M), and probably the carbon package (I'm assuming in the US this will not include the bucket seats and thus cheaper than what we're seeing on some of the other configurators)? So outside of individual options that still probably gets you a well optioned Comp Pack car somewhere around $80k-$85k, depending on whether you go for Xdrive or not. Honestly not that much different than well optioned F80 prices a few years ago (before discounts). |

Meanwhile the Canadian configurator shows the M3 comp is $92,077.76 CAD which is $68,795.90 USD. You'll be adding a lot of options to get it to 90k USD. |

It should be noted that we don't even have luxury taxes here and the VAT is low compared to other European countries (7.7%). In other words, they earn fat profit margins with us here. |
