Plus the price of AWD I'm guessing $3k.

I'm not sure what the individual shadowline lights ($300) are, so that may be added, and I might add the front ventilated seats ($350).
This is my build to a T and I agree about the lights and ventilated seats...hmm!

The ordering guide doesn't limit it (you'd be looking at adding full leather), carbon seats only 488 (lumbar support) and 712 (m sport seats). It looks like most of the cars shown so far with carbon buckets have full leather. It's easy to tell with the while, blue, or orange seats because the lower dash is that color, there's also a seam around the radio preset buttons (in addition to the stitching on the dash and upper door panels).

What parts are you referring to, the carbon inlays at the front/bottom? The side skirts are still shadowline black with the carbon exterior pack, it's just the inlays, mirrors, diffuser, and spoiler.

These pre-production cars seem to have no protection beyond the inlays, leaving some huge gaps you wouldn't have with the honeycomb inserts. If that holds true to production it might not be the cosmetic issues you need to worry about.

Definitely the inlays at the front. Didn't know what to call them but yeah it's a little scary...what you said is completely true that's why I'm almost tempted to just go with the honeycomb look. The carbon package just looks so aggressive though.

I posted a thread that said comparably equipped, the price between Base and Comp is not that much.

Don't think you can get the Driving Assistance Pro Package on manual, can you?

I am considering the same and I'm already at $88,595. The 2 questions I have are as follows: can I tell them what height to set the MPHAS springs at when they install? I would go recommended height (.4" drop). Will it be available for early allocations?

Nope, that's the semi-autonomous driving feature.

You can tell your dealer to send a note to port about the M performance suspensions. However, even if it is not adjusted to the right level at port. Your dealer can do it when they complete the PDI

base 72800
IOM Green 550
Exec 3000
Shadowline lights 300
Vent seats 350
CF Trim 950
M Drive Pro 900

add X for AWD

Also really love the Blue/black/yellow seats but not sure how they will look with IOM Green so prob get the orange seats. Also can't decide on the CF buckets - I do plan on tracking the car but really wanted ventilated seats.

That's what I'm wondering if you get full leather by default with carbon seats it would make the option itself seem like a even better deal

I think 4 elements are included in that package:
- Front left / right carbon air blade vents (instead of black honeycomb vent)
- Carbon Mirror caps
- Carbon rear diffuser
- Carbon rear spoiler

Cost: 4700 USD

No lumbar in the carbon buckets I assume is expected.

If I were ordering one I would go the normal seats, perforated, and full leather. But I don't track.

I am not a fan of the base price being so high as others have said. I ordered 2 F8x brand new. One of them was loaded and one was a stripper with just leather seats. I much preferred the stripper and its price point.

Not according to the guides and I would be very surprised. BMW just produces these show cars with all the options.

I had full leather in both my F8x. Loved it.

I know this might seem like heresy to some of you, but I have no preconceived notions that this car will be on a track. Will I be able to order it with all season tires? I don't want to be switching out tires every 6 months in Chicago.

Perfectly valid! 99% of owners will not take this on track and I for one think there are many more cheaper and capable track cars. However, where BMW shines is you can take it on track and not be completely out of place.

Now back to your original question. From the factory, it does not come with all-seasons. However, you may be able to arrange something with your dealer to have all-seasons put on for reduced cost. Or what I would do is just take the standard tires off and sell them or just have them as backup.

In summary the standard options, no cost options, packaging and pricing is a true delight this time. No cost for any wheel option, unheard of as an example. Whomever put this together deserve a big virtual hug not a kick in the nuts like the P-car equivalent...
As a P car owner and a potential 992 client, this resonated with me haha. The P car tax for every single option is no joke.

Any dealer should be fine with swapping out the rubber. If I buy one I will also go that route. There are some very good high performance all season tires out there but then you probably already know that.

Finally vented seats!

For those of you in cold climates, you don't understand how priceless that option is. Here in Miami, it is a must.

Don't get your hopes up. If the ventilated seats are anything like my F90 M5's were, they are worthless. They basically blow ambient air, not chilled. I hope BMW has fixed this.
