I don't believe so, there may be additional codings required in the DSC controller.

I checked today and realized that I don’t see the reverse light option on mine either.
The number of options I see with the G8x is much smaller than I saw with the F87.
S/W update issues?
Hoping to see more features with the G8x, because this isn’t worth the s/w price or dongle $ for what it can do/code.

If you are looking only at the basic coding options displayed with Bimmercode then you may be correct.

However, plenty of things can be done within expert mode if you do a little research. I have coded almost everything I had previously done on my F30, now through expert mode.

What exactly are you looking to do with rear lights. I may be able to find the coding for you.

This has probably been brought up before but I don't see it so sorry if it has….does coding screw up any type of warranty and can you brick the car if something messes up?

I appreciate your feedback.
I was hoping to get the welcome light/seat lights on with the reverse gear coded.

Seems like there aren't enough 'expert mode' codes information in the forum. Perhaps because the chassis is still new?

It has been said that this particular feature is not available on G 20/80 platform. I don't know if this is true, but I have not found any advanced coding to enable it.

Ah, okay.
Someone mentioned he coded it through the normal menus so I thought it was readily available.

Right! That's what I was thinking too. How'd he do it? I had that enabled on my F80 M3 and loved it.

I thought I recalled someone posting a solution to code in red ambient lighting, but I can't seem to locate it via search? I may be using the wrong keywords to find the correct thread though.

I have red coded in for all of my ambient lights now. The option is there in the menu.

Wait, you see the front end module in your F series? Not the G series? Correct? I am in a G80 and I dont see FEM at all.

It's not in the G80, at least not with my connector.

Fem_body is found in F2x, F3x, F8x.

BDC_body is found in all G-series.

Thank you sir.

I believe you are the coding guru. Are we able to enable door lights in reverse or not?

Had a coding session with Kubax86 this morning. We tried to code Easy entry but the driver seat did not move. He will research and get back to me in two weeks. Also requested Sport mode display at Startup.

Folks,

Questions, I coded to enable the "Video in Motion", so how does this work? Does this mean "reverse camera video" or I can play youtube/netflix videos while driving?

Also, I see there are options to change the startup images and other related to that... does anyone have any pictures on what these images look like? Is this "cooler" than the default "M" logo?

Thanks.

VIM refers to USB and Miracast streams.
