Hi All,

I got my M3 (not from my order - took somebody order) and I don't have ventilated seats. My question is if I will found some used ones - could be somehow coded? Button for heating also is doing ventilation so should be only matter of coding? Or imposable at all?

You will need the button on the dash to activate them. So unless you have that, I doubt coding will help.

There are also a few of us with crunchy sounded seats which is rumored to be caused by having the vented seats. Mine crunch and I have not had a chance to let my dealer look into it.

How long did it take from taking delivery for your seats to start getting crunchy?

Within a few thousand miles. I have 4K now. Probably around 2-3K mark when I noticed the crunch scooting my ass into place.

But there is same button on dash to do heat / cool right? This is what I saw on youtube videos. So mine is heating only - this is why I am wondering if by coding and ventilated seats installation I can code it somehow

Oh. I didnt realize you have the button. In that case, it might work. I just assumed without the button, you probably couldnt add it.

Maybe you can. So I don't actually know now that you have said that.
