In the second video I did a warm start, comfort mode revs, sport mode revs and sport plus mdm revs. It should be noted that engaging a gear does actually make it sound much better than neutral but it's too hard to capture the sound in gear. Also you should know that with the windows up it's much quieter than when outside of the car. You hear the burble and cracks nicely from inside. There is zero droning on the highway or ever.

The guy that did the mod for me told me that if you remove the secondary resonator you will get drone. He said resonators control the depth of the sound and the cat is the volume. I couldn't be happier. Extremely excited. Oh and it added about 10hp to the car. Noticeably more exciting of a drive.
Any cels?

No. I would never have done it. I was assured removing the primary cat is the only scenario for dash light ups

Done. Sounds really good. Bubbles are bit louder, but not crazy as F8X gen. Zero drone on the highway.

You put the xpipe in place of the resonators?

Yes. With cat-less DP.

m20e3087 interesting!!!! My set up sans catless DPs. Do your DPs also remove the secondary cats as well?

I have removed those bad boys, but sure would love to hear the difference! Safe to assume you are just running with cel until ECU can be un-benched locally?

Thanks in advance as I look forward to your feedback!

Looks like this simple x-pipe would work. Is it three inch?

Yes running with CEL. Only cat-less dp and both res delete. And my 2nd cats are still intact. Sounds amazing, specially in 2nd or 3rd gear, 4-7K sound is pure bliss. I am still stunned by how little I spent to get that sound. My neighbor got a S55 M4 comp with MP exhaust, he was like that Akra or Remus, told him it's X pipe and dp with stock rear. He was really surprised.

These seem to be the other good options. I think the last is the one to buy.

Mine is 304SS. Just check with your shop, mine wasn't fully aligned but they made it happen with custom bent 3" pipe.

has anyone tried just catless downpipes with everything else stock? this kinda seems like the most performance and pops with probably no drone. Temped to try with the r44 downpipes since they also have a cat simulator.

I ran cat-less DP for about 3 weeks. Sounded great, but I was looking for bit more volume and X pipe did the trick. No drone whatsoever with just cat-less DP and now DP plus mid pipe mod combo.

Awesome thanks, seems like a great mod and keeping secondary cats prob saves you from a lot fume smells. Let us know if you can post a clip to hear it, really looking to copy you

So I'm clueless with this stuff but planning on purchasing an x pipe and having a muffler shop do the work. If I understand correctly, this mod doesn't touch the cats or O2 sensor right? Thank you

Correct, deleting the 2 resonators (look like metal suitcases) and replacing with a x-pipie has no effect on any cats or O2 sensors.

There's 2 cats in the downpipes and 2 cats in the midpipe. The resonators are located behind the cats in the midpipe. They are in between the secondary cats and the stock rear section (valves). So no worries.

Thank you. Made an appointment at a local shop that comes recommended by a few friends. $300 with parts. Going this coming Tuesday
