Reduce sound essentially. Maybe tune the sound before reaching the muffler. Potentially some back pressure? I'm not sure about that though!

Pretty pointless especially for an M car. How do the beards in Germany not realise the car is too quiet? Wake up lads!

The quality of the stock sound is nicely maintained just amplified

Should have came like this from factory because it's much more enjoyable and still not obnoxiously loud.

This also beats spending 3-4K for a full exhaust system since in my opinion this will be enough for most people without being annoyingly loud
Where did you get this done? Any pics?

I'm not sure but that's where the shop put it. The sound is super smooth during the entire rev range all the way to redline with zero rasp. So I'm not sure if the position matters

What bugs me slightly is that the color of the pipes are different, but I guess it's not like people look under the car.

I wonder if removing the secondary cats would add some rasp because that's definitely not something I want.

Another thing that keeps me from also removing the secondary cats is that, at some point, when going catless down pipes with tune, I'm afraid it will be even louder and might get too obnoxious for my taste .

The pipes all eventually will become the same color. Now depending on the material use on the attachments it could even Rust if it’s not coated metal only time will tell.

Close your valves if you do cat delete.

All weekend I've been getting props for my setup

Can you run aftermarket DP without a tune? Seems like if your going that route, you are tuning for sure?

quick question for the people that did the secondary and both resonator deletes, as well the the people who deleted both resonators only.

Anyone getting drone at highway speeds on an incline in eco??? I don't care if it happens in sport as I can just switch to eco.

Getting mine done this Saturday!

My setup above. There is no drone in sport or sport plus, just sweet gargling sounds. Eco is very quiet, similar to no mods and if you dare press the exhaust button all the sound is gone however you would not need to do this at all if you were driving in eco, nor in sport IMO.

Now I'm tempted to remove my secondary res. For now I have just removed my primary res and secondary cat. What's another 300 bux :-)

I have both resonators deleted with x-pipe and valves fully opened and I don't detect any noticeable drone.

I've contemplated deleting the secondary cats as well but I like the quality of the sound currently although sometimes I think it could be even louder. I also think that deleting the secondary cats might introduce rasp which I don't want.

There is no rasp, it's just very loud on WOT similar to a track exhaust. You can control this easily via the throttle though. IMO I think it's worth removing the secondary res with straights to see for yourself. The video's on this thread really helped but in person is different.. If you then think it's too loud (which I did the first 2 days), install an x or h and it will settle it down.

Hi! How noticeable are the pops and bangs with this setup?
