I sent a few emails to Noel about mine a week or so ago and he told me they where waiting on more springs. I should email him again too. Wheres me springs!

At the same time I am honestly thinking about removing my HAS setup. Mine makes this clicking/ticking noise up front that no one can seem to figure out. Its driving me crazy.

You could always do a front spring only setup? I know a few companies offer this. And honestly, the front end of the car is the only thing that needs to be lowered.

Its not the lowering I don't like. Its the sound mine makes because of it.

Update from KW. They say the spring swap is only for the G80, not the G82. I haven’t installed my kit on my G82 yet. Not sure if I should or if this is too much of a hassle.

Don't need to worry on G82, you're fine. The rear fender edge is lower on the G80 when compared to G82.

This may likely split the HAS kits into G80 and G82 specific kits. In the meantime, we have been including rear spring spacers at no additional charge to G80s until the transition is made.

I see!! Yea the customer service is not the best. As for the clicking noise You probably either got a defect or was installed improperly. I don’t hear anything on my car. Anyways what is your next move? Ast? H&R? Mss?

That's sad. If I had that experience, I'd be sure to let the world know. And I sure as hell would never by from them again. The retail vendors on this site should take notice as well.

Sorry to hear that but I want to say thanks for posting that up.

I feel like we get nothing but the success stories around lowering these cars and the folks who are super stoked about the looks not mentioning the compromises they’re dealing with.

I’m not on KW but I chose another popular spring choice and I don’t like it. Under car aero is rubbing and I’m getting some rubbing on the rear passenger side under moderate compression. I’m taking my springs off next week and going back to stock rear and Eibach front for a mild front drop.

I dont know. But I suspect install issue. Once they where installed I noticed one of my upper boots was not set correctly and was all mangled up looking. I had to go back for them to seat it correctly. Then I asked them to look into the clicking I noticed shortly after that. They said they retorqued everything, and it's still doing it. That was 3 visits and no resolve. I'd like to get another shop to look at the install before I give up.

I have not contacted KW germany about this clicking (US office is useless) yet, but probably will email them about this now. Especially since KW USA has went MIA and no one seems to know whats causing my car to click.

I think that's what it was at first. But there sure seems to be a lot of unhappy AST and MSS owners now. Seems every solution rushed to market and had to make revisions. Including KW. I think HR and Ebauch are the only ones people have NOT complained about at all.

How low is your car? Are you running spacer?

Under aero rubbing, which part? Front bumper? Side skirt?

FYI, this platform have air deflector under the car, right behind the front tires, which is prone to rub over bumps even at a slight drop.
While the rear, it would depends on how low you are and what size of spacer.

I have quite a few of customers on H&R Sport Springs that are complaining. Not only in this platform, but it is across the board.

I can't say about AST since I don't deal with it much.

I’m approximately 32mm lower in the front and 25mm in the rear. My wheels are et 15 front and back with a 7mm spacer up front and a 5mm in the back which is like a 12mm spacer in the front and a 10mm spacer in the back on stock wheels.

It’s the air deflector just behind the front wheels that’s rubbing. I’m getting something in the rear on the passenger side too…just not entirely sure what it is, it’s a new sound.

How about tire size and brand/model?
I know that one of my local customer running 295/30-20 R-Compound, it rubs on the rear since R-compound usually runs wider.

I’m running Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 285/30 -20 in the rear and 275/30 20 in the front.

The All Season Sports do seem to have more square profile but since they’re stock size, I wouldn’t expect it to rub.

Did you correct the camber to stock spec?
That may what cause it too since now the wheel traveling up and down more outward with stock spec camber at that drop.

So, solution wise, I would reduce the spacer thickness or raise it a bit.

While that new noise, need to find out what. Most probably some gravel got stuck in between spring. Known on this type of spring positioning where it is exposed and low to the ground.
