Congratulations on a beautiful M3. I had placed an order on a similar build, but with individual San Marino Blue. Unfortunately , I never got an allocation. So I ended up getting a 2022 X3MC in MBB. I sometimes wish I would have gotten the M3, but the X3M is basically a M3 suv with more storage than a sedan. Marina Bay Blue is a fantastic color!

Nice car man
From my experience since I previously owned an SMB F82, it's a dark metallic blue with hints of purple when the sun hits it which differs from MBB which is more blue through and through. Here's a pic of my old car. Definitely best when it's sunny out!

Very successful paint combo, and even if I dont like black wheels they are looking great here.

On one photo the paint has purple hue but not on all others. Interesting.

Thanks all for your positive replies!

Here some iphone snapshots in relatively bad weather (quality is not as good.. and hard to capture the color). But still without filter nice to see the color in different lighting and the contrast versus black (last photo).

I will post more pics outside soon - need to find some time and good weather to make pictures

Beautiful blue. This is ridiculously sharp and you may have just sold me on this color for my future M…because there will be another for me, despite what my wife says! LOL

Question for you and everyone else:

I’ve been in love with Acura’s Apex Pearl Blue color like those on their NSXs. Is this blue a close match to that? Or is there another blue that I should be seeking?

I feel San Marino Blue may be a closer match, but I’ve never seen Marina Bay Blue or San Marino Blue in person.

Thoughts?

Won't be able to answer this question as I've never seen this Acura + this color (do they even drive in Europe?). Maybe somebody else?

Based on the pictures they look somewhat the same.. it's a great choice (imho) and I enjoy seeing it each time when I walk back to the car
Also easy to spot when parked somehwere.

San Marino is a closer match.

Acura Apex Blue Pearl
Lexus Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0
BMW San Marino Blue
McLaren Aurora Blue

All are very close and ride the line between purple and blue. San Marino edges out Marina Bay Blue for me, MBB is just more a "blue" SMB, but very similar pearlescent effect.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I love the Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0 callout because that’s been a favorite of mine which you somehow read my mind about. I appreciate this!!

Are there any individual colors closer to Apex Blue Pearl than San Marino? I’m assuming not, but wanted your opinion.

The grill looks way better than the standard oversized grill.

Looks beautiful but to tbh it’s it’s extremely similar to Portimao Blue (in the sun)
