Best wheel cleaner and tire dressing?

So I'm looking for options on some favorites here. I have tried a bunch of each. Currently using carpro pearl dressing but gets brown quickly.

Using P&S brake buster but really does not cut it for brake dust on the black 826s well.

Kinda depends on what you want out of a cleaner. I always thought brake buster was overrated. I use Nanoskin non-acid wheel and tire cleaner. It’s economical and effective.

Many here like Sonax wheel cleaners, they have 3 different ones: Wheel Cleaner Plus, Full Effect and The Beast. These are all wheel cleaners and come close to spray on let it dwell and rinse off. These are the color changing variety and stink. In my experience even these need some agitation on seriously dirty wheels.

For tire dressing, I use Optimum Tire Shine. I bought a bunch of it over a year ago and it works well but IMO any water based dressing will brown pretty quickly with the dust that comes off these brakes.

Just my 2 cents.

I use Chemical Guys VRP for tire shine, works well IMO.

For wheel cleaning I use Griot's wheel cleaner or Iron & Fallout cleaner.

I dunno man, you are off to a pretty good start.

Brakebuster wont work if you dont agitate but, for me, its the best wheel cleaner for the price.

I dilute it 50/50 in a IK foamer, spray, dwell and agitate. It cleans all of my wheels really good.

I am not much of a tire shine guy but I did hear that Chemical guys VRP is pretty good. Probably their only product which gets universal accolades

I don't have much to say in the wheel cleaning department, because my wheels don't really get dirty, (CCBs) and they're ceramic coated, so, that just adds to it. But as far as tires go, I have some opinion, for sure. I like all of the products that have already been posted. P&S everything, got a lot of hype, when it was first released.

Their Beadmaker blew up, all over the interwebs, as the best thing to buy, as a drying aid, or as a QD. It honestly sucks. Ethos D3Fy kills beadmaker, in slickness ease of use, no streaking and beading/ longevity. I burned through 2 bottles of Brake Buster, and I wasn't really wowed. Obsessed Garage swears by both of them. I don't think either of them, are that great.

Fast forward to what does work, and I have a hard time, coming from the hobby detail world, even suggesting anything, from them, but Turtle Wax Hyper Foam, is pretty amazing. Spray it on the tire, and you get brown goop in about 10 seconds.

It's a little strong smelling, so use it in a well ventilated area. It actually has iron remover built in, so, that's a plus. It doesn't have that killer Iron-X smell, but it's pretty strong. It did clean the wheels really well, but I don't get tons of stuck on brake dust, like steel rotors.

Tire Shine: I actually just went to the detail shop, the other day to get my carbon mirror caps, PPFd. and they always throw a nice detail on my car. I asked what they use, for tire shine, and surprisingly, they use Meguiars All season dressing. This stuff, is legit.

I've never heard of it, and I don't think it gets a lot of airtime, but everytime I take my car to them, and they put it on, this stuff, just lasts and lasts. Before I used Hyper Foam, I found myself, trying to find something to take it off, and nothing would get it all the way off, it would just smear it around, because it lasts so long. The Hyper Foam will kill it, but it still takes a few hits to break it down.

On a side note. I sprayed Hyper Foam, on my full glass shower stall and let it dwell for like 5 minutes, its strong smelling, so, vent it, but its crazy on the shower stall as well. The shower has floor to ceiling marble walls, on the back and sides, and the front and door, are full glass, and the fixtures, and the tile and fixtures, and glass came out shiny as hell.

Here's another good video, with TW Rapid Decon against TW Hyper Foam. Forensic detail channel, is always great. He likes the rapid decon, better for wheels, and the hyper foam better for tires.

Not sure about wheel cleaner but Meguiars tire shine was wonderful and pretty damn cheap too. Don’t have a picture handy but it came in a tall black can. I always sprayed it onto the tire sponge and applied it carefully like that. Never ever just spray it onto the wheel. Can get on your rotors and tire tread and make things slick that shouldn’t be slick. Also don’t want that stuff getting on your paint either.

Couldn't find the above at Autozone last night so I picked up the Adam's tire shine. Will see how it does.

I've always found the GTechniq Iron and Fallout Remover (W6) to be an excellent wheel cleaner. Assuming your wheels have been ceramic coated, W6 will do most of the legwork for you with minimal agitation.

Just tried this for this first time this weekend for tire shine and got ZERO sling on the paint. I put a good bit on as well. Very impressed with this product and no wonder why it's not cheap.

I used Americana's Global Breakdown wheel cleaner and will honestly never use anything else. All I have to do is spray it on the wheels, wait a few minutes and power wash the break dust off. Works wonders. Maybe I have to get a quick pass with a towel on some missed spots but for the most parts my entire rims looks clean after the power wash. I also have my rims ceramic coated so that may be the reason why I do no scrubbing but I seen youtube videos of it being tested and they've had similar results.

Always been a fan of Optibond Tire Gel. A good luster and no sling.

So I just got sonax and this hyper foam. I tried the sonax (everyone raves about) and I did not see much of a difference from brake buster. I only left it on for about a minute. I don't know if it will etch the wheels or not. Better safe than sorry..

I like VRP as well. Use Gyeon for cleaning the wheels.

I use P and S wheel and tire cleaner. It works just fine for me. Black wheels ceramic coated. If I have to go too long between washes then maybe a little iron X beforehand. I use CarPro pearl on the tires I don't have a browning problem. It is important to have clean tires prior. Good wheel and tire brushes help too.

Wanted to bump this up. CarPro’s new Darkside, anyone hear try it? Obviously a great brand but I’ve also heard of browning issues on Michelins.

I use PS Brake Buster undiluted and is good enough.
Keep in mind I wash wheels every 2-3 weeks. If you go longer you may need one with Iron remover as the dust will get caked on over time with heat.

I have not found a perfect tire shine, I may go with a coating.
I bought a used gt350 and it had coating tire shine and brake buster would not get it off lasted as long as I had the car. Wish I knew which it was.

Yes tried it and did not like it. Application was kind of a bitch (reviews said as much) but it didn't last nearly as long as they claim. Would not recommend.
