you can get discount on M4 , M5 X5M, M8 etc .These are all M cars not sure why some people on the forums try to keep the hype up that this is the new normal that we will be paying MSRP for ever that companies will not over build these cars and they ignore what is actually happening in front of their eyes 6-9 months ago M3 sold for way above sticker. Now this rarely happens . Mostly selling for sticker M5 sold for sticker or slightly above .Now 6-8 % off close to old days X5M sold for sticker or slightly above . Now at least 6-8 % off close to old days . G63 wagon sold for low 300 k , now selling for 230-240 k max C8 corvette sold for 30-40 k above MSRP . Now some discount below MSRP and I can keep going on so please lets not keep perpetuating the myth that car market is not correcting . It has corrected some what and will continue to do so in particular if we hit a significant economic down turn with significant rise in layoffs and I can bet money that companies will go back to good old production rather than build on demand . |

It is rarity and even at that .... the price of the car (m3/m4) has increased by 8k in the last two years is that really a discount. They just dropped the updated X5M and X6M both went up by over 4k in base price. G wagons and Vettes have all be hot sellers and over msrp. What I am saying is the days of 6-8k off are gone unless it's end of year sale, a bad spec, damaged car. I got an 19M5 CP and was able to get 11k off and the MF was low. Deals like that are gone. Most folks are lucky to get MSRP plus incentives which would put cars below msrp then base money factor or a sub 5% loan. I believe you can get 1500 off with current incentives this month. On a 85k car that is 1.8% off. On a 50k 330i that's 3%. |

About 16k F80’s we’re built for the entire US market. That’s a little over 3k a year during the production cycle.
Most of the cars sold are SUV’s. You don’t see many M cars sitting on the lot because they just don’t sell that many. They just need to have a few out there for the impulse buyers to get hands on and test drive them. Plus they’re a good brand marketing tool.

Having called at least 60+ dealers during my search, I can safely say that at least 2/3rds of M3's listed on Cars or Autotrader are customer orders. It must be an automated thing that their websites do when new cars come in.

go on M5 sub forum and brokers are advertising 6 % off on orders which on 125 k car is almost 8 k and that is with no negotiations I ordered several M cars , too many to count , and always got 8-10 % off plus whatever incentive last being 2019 m5c which I got 10 % off on 124 k build which is 12.4 k also price increase is related to inflation , so your argument if someone gets 6 k discount now, but the car is 6 k more because of price increase, that does not count as a discount .Not sure this is a valid argument we hit a patch of inflation recently and price increases are part of that. Ultimately when inflation cools down to normal 2-3 % a year , we will go back to the normal 1-2 k increase every MY |

I picked up my 6MT G80 off the lot for $3K under MSRP. My car is unusual as it literally has no options. It didn't bother me at all, as I have had recent heavily optioned BMWs so I knew what I would be missing. The only options I really liked was the heated/cooled cup holders, and soft close doors from my X5M, and those aren't even available on the M3, so no loss to me.

also you need to consider that selling price is just part of the deal.
just bc you pay x for the car doesn't mean you are not getting up charged in other areas of the deal. Best to make sure you look at the whole deal in order to get a summarized shot of the deal. if you finance, whats the rate if you lease, whats the terms, MF, etc.. what are the fees if you go through a broker what are the fees etc.. all this stuff needs to be looked at when you determine the deal you get. Just my 2 cents. but I do think eventually the market will even out a little but crazy low deals on higher demanded cars, I dont see that happening anytime soon from what Im seeing.

There's a Comp RWD that's extremely bare bones at my local dealership. It's been sitting there a while. I bet they'd sell it under MSRP top.

When I bought my new E46 M3, it was pretty light on options and I came from a 330ci with every option. I didn't miss anything. |

Well I got an offer for $500 off plus $750 Loyalty credit that they can supposedly lock in. Of course who knows what the market will look like this summer.

Ordered my M4CX a couple of weeks ago at MSRP (price listed on website) -13%. Live in Scandinavia, so possibility to negotiate might differ from the US.
Add the horrendous income taxes and VAT in Scandinavia, and it’ll still hurt. |
