My Custom Order Car showing up on Dealer's Inventory
Hello all, happy Fourth!
Just curious, do dealers usually list customer ordered cars on their way to the stateside on their website as for sale? I know it's mine because the VIN # matches. I did put down my deposit, so I think it's unlikely that they are planning to sell it to a higher bidder (I'm buying this at MSRP), but does this sound like something I should be concerned about? thank you Last edited by Ankarah; 07-03-2023 at 08:18 PM.. |

Yeah I can confirm this as well. I was shopping for a M3 a couple days ago and saw a bunch available at local dealerships so I called them. They all said those are all reserved and it’s just how their automatic systems work.

They do this so you come into the dealership to check it out. Then tell you it’s not available but they’ll Convince you to order one or look at another model on their lot.
