Just wondering which one you guys would pick if you had to pick one and which one you guys think would be more desirable?

Me personally I can't decide such a close call lol but if I had to choose then probably the M4CSL because the CSL badge has only been out 3 times.

I passed on an M5 CS for a CSL, and am still actively not buying a used CS because I'm waiting for the CSL.

But if the CSL isn't a bonafide 5/5 or 10/10 type car, I'll probably pass on it for a used CS.

I don't think you can make this decision until you at least see some real reviews.

A collectible? Seriously? If you're going to buy the car you should drive it. Such a shame people think like that

How will you know if it is a 5/5 or 10/10 without driving it? Are you saying once it is more widely reviewed and they provide ratings? Is any car a 10/10 aka perfect?

I'm just saying, respected car magazine reviews are important to a car's value and collectibility (which is what this reviewer asked about). If the car is reviewed to be subpar, it will impact values like it did with the M4 GTS.

Keep something in mind. The M5 CS can be had used pretty widely available for around 165-170k. CSLs right now are exchanging hands for prices rumored to be $100k over MSRP and there are only ~245 US allocations.

The only thing that could affect that demand would be reviews.

What is your point? What if I already have a 600LT? Most here are enthusiasts and well aware of the price landscape for performance cars and the value of a dollar. While it's premature to value the CSL with any accuracy, those of us who have an allocation have been working market intel for a while now. There are many committed between $50k and $100k over MSRP. Whether that's rational or foolish will largely depend on how the car is reviewed over the next few months.

yeah, "what if" isn't a good point...

So what i'm saying is, if you're choosing 130k+100kmarkup bmw over an exotic that will destroy it in every category possible.. you need to be evaluated. I'm not arguing msrp of CSL btw.

Yeah no one is saying that here. I'm just saying, calling around to dealerships with committed allocations and available allocations, $50k ADM is the starting point and most allocations are committed at much more than that.

This is just the reality, whether it's smart or not isn't the question.

I really hope they put the same Midas touch as the M5CS if not more on the M3CS. That'd be the ticket.

I'd expect the M3 CS to be seriously good. Just don't expect it to cost less than the M5 CS and M4 CSL do.

I think both will hold their values, well. I think the CSL may edge out the CS, by a small margin. If youre completely track focused, its got to be the CSL, its 15 seconds faster, around the ring. Translating that to a smaller track, and you're still seconds ahead. and a 6,7 100-200 pretty much proves that its underrated, at 540hp (550PS).

For sure. Based on the list of other cars in that range (with similar weight) it's probably at least 600hp. Which makes sense as the Competition is around 550 - 560hp and with the advertised 40 hp bump it's already there, although I bet it's more like 40 hp to the wheels.
