It seems like " the kid on the bike" was already played. Is it too late for "tire pressure 1.5 psi too low "?
The obvious "that'll buff right out" too passé?

Hopefully, the dealer makes it all right, but it's really weak on their part not to fess up straight away.

Oh you haven't heard the latest? I think he should complain that after dropping his car off for service he wasn't able to pick it up at the PC in SC.

That sucks OP. Make sure they align it too.

And of course you keep the wheel and tire.

Why are you doing the dealership a favor by not naming them?

You need more than just a wheel + tire. You're now out hours of your time and without your car for a period of time.

I would ask for 2 payments (assuming you finance or leased) at the minimum.

BTW - those Michelins' are on back order for months. I want to know what dealer this is

My SA is a good guy and fellow enthusiast whom I have built a relationship with over several years. I’m not about to throw him under the bus when he is doing the right thing and taking care of it. Sure the dillweed that drove the car up probably did this and tried to play it off out of fear (he’s just a kid, probably 19 or 20) but everyone makes mistakes and at that age I’d be scared shitless too. Not saying he is right but my SA and Mgr are trying to do me right. That is all I ask.

Damage is cosmetic. Car is 100% drivable.

That's from hitting a concrete curb, ask me how I know.

Hopefully it gets taken care of, quickly. Be careful when they order you a tire. One of my friends ended up with a non star marked PS4S and it caused trouble.

Stuff happens. The dealer is doing the right thing. Unless he's the owners son, the kid that did this is probably looking for a new job. I wouldn't necessarily fire the kid for curbing the wheel, but trying to pretend it didn't happen and giving the car back to the customer without reporting the incident is inexcusable. Sorry that you have to go through this hassle.

Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. Back-ordered but not months. Had to wait a whole week. No, they did not fess up. they likely hoped I would drive off without inspecting.

this is what i'm worried about. my dealer just finished their new building and their service is on the 2nd floor. So you'll have kids driving the car up a tight windy driveway to get up to the 2nd floor..

I would demand a new car or diminished value claim. BMW should pick up the payments for the next 6 months. Anything less and I would have your lawyer draft up a demand letter.

None of these reparations will soothe the irreparable and lifelong harm the OP has incurred. Nothing short of castration for the offending teen/young adult, sleeping with the GMs spouse and burning the dealership to the ground will resolve this most horrific crime.
