I just want to point out that when I put my phone on the door handle it's pretty instantaneous. I have a iPhone 13 Pro. In the moment it takes me to touch the handle the car unlocks and the app displays the key makes a ding, and then shuts back off.

Conversely, the digital key (physical card BMW provided) requires me to hold the back of the card to the door handle for a few seconds.

Phone is super fast. Will see how long it takes me to comfortably not even bring car keys with me.

You must have "Express Mode" enabled.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet.

If you turn your steering wheel to the left or right all the way, the opposite side or the rear suspension compresses. Thought that was cool and the tech that's in the car!

No,nothing special. Im gonna have to recheck how i did it but it was pretty simple. Literally locate the sync function in idrive and map to one of buttons.

I loved this about my F82. I was able to set it so that when I hit the #2 preset the screen switched to displaying the sport gauges/displays.

Unfortunately, you aren't able to save the sport displays to the 1-8 presets on the G80... lame
Mine is saved?

Instead of actually clicking into the sport display save the button that would access them. Does that make sense?

Mine is save to, press button 8 and it displays the sport setting - easy to configure

The car won't enter drive-ready mode unless you hit the start button with a physical or digital key in the car. If what you're describing is true for your car, it creates a theft hazard and you may want the dealer to check it out.

I wondered the same thing? Maybe assists you in a tight spot under full lock? No idea

I believe oil temp will sit in the 220's to make sure all condensate gets boiled out of the oil. When you start driving the car hard it will very quickly drop to 180 degrees.

I believe it comes with line keep assistance. (Have them on my 8 series)
They will blink when you have to put your hands on a steering wheel

My guess is it's a stability control or some sort of anti roll?

Those indicate the auto drive control status. If you don't touch the wheel in self drive mode within a set time they blink orange, then red and you have the car slap you on the wrists and stop to make sure your still alive. 😎

Right, for regular assisted drive. But this was the first time i used Assisted Drive Plus. These are on the whole time and you can take your hands off the wheel. It will handle driving up to 40mph.

I've probably done 500 miles with it activated.

One of my favorite features.
