It's expected, but that seems excessive.

Same thing happened to my passenger side headlight and the dealer said it is normal due to breathable membrane in the headlight.

At first I thought that was made up, but Google tells me breathable membranes or vents in headlights are a thing. Go figure.

Read the owners manual; pg 360 of the online pdf version. It says fog/condensation is to be expected. But if you get full water droplets on the inside it's not right.

My concern was because I was driving with the lights on until I parked and switched everything off..

It's happened to me. A couple times over several months I noticed small amounts of condensation which, as advised in the owner's manual, evaporated within a day or so. Early Monday I drove my M4 through torrential rain and (unavoidable) puddles, and significantly more water penetrated the right (passenger side) headlight. Five days later, ~80% of it is still there, despite being parked in bright sunlight.

I'll try driving with headlights on, as odd as that appears on a midsummer's day.

Yikes. This may be normal, but it certainly is not a good look.

Nothing about that looks normal, maybe a few water spots might be normal but not the whole thing covered up.

None of the pictures posted here look normal. I’ve never had this in any BMW I’ve ever owned including two new ones in the past year.

I hear adding some rice inside the headlight would dry that all up 😂

OPs condensation is Normal. This amount of condensation with runs is not. You do need to see a dealer about diagnosis. There has been a new vent released for certain model year vehicles with the new headlight vent design.

Take pics and email your SA. I also had a video and pics dated each day, mine didn't go away and was excessive. BMW ended up replacing my one
