In a general sense, the individual colors that are available can be found out on the BMW Individualizer:

https://visualizer.bmw-individual.co...38;lang=EN#top

However, in order to actually get a vehicle painted in an individual color BMW will need to approve your choice of color. In order for that to occur you must have an actual allocation assigned to you, it cannot be any further along into production than status 112, and your CA will need to submit the request to their BMW representative.

Usually if BMW rejects a color they will go ahead and give a couple of close alternative colors that are available to you and would be approved or they may just flat out reject it.

You can also request a color that isn't listed on that Individualizer website but it is less likely to get approved or may cost more than the typical individual paint option. You can also request a color that BMW may not have ever produced and if they agree to it, the development costs for the paint will fall to you. IIRC that cost was $7,500 but that is a figure that was put out there a few years ago and may have gone up (because what else in this world hasn't?).

I'm sure calbears will correct anything I may have misspoke about since he's the resident individual color expert as he orders them all the time for his dealership.

Yes, you can request something that isn't showing on the visualizer. It's best to have a paint code you can provide to see if they can do it. Not sure on pricing as that's as far as I've gone for a customer.

I'll note that Le Mans Blue is no longer available (found out today)

Thanks. Question for you - do Individual color prices vary by model or are they the same? As in would the $5000 British Racing Green cost more on a X5 or X7 vs a G8x?

Varies by model. $4500 for 3/4 series and X3/X4, $5K for 5, X5, X6, $5500 for 7/8/X7

There are also individual colors available for the 2GC, X1, X2, but I forget those prices

IIRC, it was posted back in the F8X forum, and it was $7500 with $2k being non-refundable. But it was a while ago, so I may not be remembering correctly.

Thanks, as always. Re: 3/4 series at $4500. Have individual paint list prices come down by chance? (outside of the 50 Jahre M $750 discount pricing)

For example, I recall colors like fire orange use to cost $5000 on the F80, and some up to $6000.

Currently have Portimao Blue and I love it! But if I did it again I would go either velvet blue, Macao blue, Or tanzanite blue.

Ordered BSM (hopefully picking up at PC in a month or so). I was never really into green but after seeing IOMG in person I was sold.

Tell your dealership when you order. Remind them when you get your allocation. Dealerships submits to BMW and bmw approves or denies. Guessing from here, If it's not one of the colors on the below site it may take longer if BMW approves.

Imog looks great after detailing but what about driving in winter after the salt&dirt get on the paint? Drove a white X5 for 3 years and washed it about twice per year because it hides the dirt pretty well (and I'm lazy...).

The color holds up to being dirty pretty well. It tends to look like a slightly different shade as it gets dirty, like a lot of brighter colors do but it doesn't look "bad" until it's VERY dirty.

I ordered IOMG on my G82 M4, and now that I finally have the car, I love it. My answer to the question is definitely "YES, i would order it again!!!"

I ordered BGM but if I had to do it over again would go BSM. IMO the G8x looks more aggressive in a darker color & highlights the lines better. I would go BSM, shadowline, lasers, 826M black.

Also an IOMG owner here and can concur about the amount of attention it gets. Honestly maybe a little too much attention for my own liking. I would get the Tanzanite Blue if I could.

Yeah… green colored BMWs are definitely amazing. I used to own the Verde Ermes and it’s really a nice experience. I would not hesitate to get that color again.

Sometimes I wish I chose TR instead of BG. It fits my username (that I use for everything) but didn't want another bright red car next to my mustang in the garage
