Flat tire

I got my G83 in April, and although I won the tire lottery, as I came out to the car this morning the rear passenger tire was completely flat. It does not appear that it is in the sidewall, so hopefully it is able to be repaired.

Is this covered under the warranty? I have roadside assistance through my insurance but I remember reading something about BMW roadside assistance. Is it actually a thing and is it basically the same?

Tires are not covered under warranty

You could look into tire insurance - I found aaa to be way more reasonable than other companies

Unless you paid for a separate road hazard plan or wheel/tire insurance package, no.....punctures/curbing/potholes are not covered under normal warranty, only if deemed defective, and in that case it would most likely be pro-rated for mileage as well.

It also might be difficult to acquire a direct replacement as supply for the Michelins is low currently.

Yes, bmw is known for producing faulty tires that randomly go flat when hit with a bike. You should absolutely get a lawyer and sue them. You will 100% win for sure, trust me.

My dealer was able to get me a replacement Michelin in less than a week. They ordered it on 8/3. Just saying...supply is not as bad as reported.

Same. I was able to get a replacement within a week after the dealer damaged wheel/tire.

OP: If you have wheel/tire insurance it will be covered.

Garage List
Did OK on my Z4 last week. Car went down with a bad tire on the road last Thursday. Flatbed to nearest BMW dealer.

They could replace the dead tire but not the other three which were due. Drove the rest of the way home & sourced the other three on the internet. Had them all replaced by Wednesday.

Only got 16,000 miles out of the original Michelin's

Why not repair if it's not on the sidewall… I have had both of my rear tires repaired $50/pop and no issues what so ever.
