Frozen + PPF

My frozen portimao blue G80 is entering production.

My plan is full stealth PPF & ceramic upon delivery.

Will the PPF’d car require any special washing/cleaning?

I’m most likely going to just have the PPF installer perform mobile wash/detail since they offer that service as well.

I have frozen white and PPF’d the front end and did ceramic coat.

Honestly has been the easiest car to care for and no issues what so ever. I wash it the same as any other car just with a matte soap (Dr Beasely). In between washes I use a matte detailer spray and again use it the exact same as a normal detailer and just spray and wipe. I think there is a lot of myth out there about matte paint being super delicate and a nightmare to care for. I am two years in and paint looks as good as it did from the factory with no issues whatsoever.

I had my frozen deep green m3 fully ppf’d with stealth stek wrap. They ceramic coated on top as well and it is a breeze to clean, the water beads like crazy and it repels dirt so easily. Easiest car I’ve had to clean in a long time.

I use matte specific soap and a power washer and a leaf blower to dry. Car still looks like it rolled off the showroom floor.

Any PPF installer should be doing full prep and detail onsite beforehand, it shouldn’t be an option.

I was referring to post PPF/Ceramic. The installer is also a detailer. They offer mobile detailing as a service.

Since they performed the install, I think they’d be a good candidate to work with for mobile washing going forward.

I just didn’t know if the stealth/matte PPF required special (matte) cleaning products just like non-PPF frozen paint.

Ah sorry, misunderstood.

I haven’t done any further coatings on my car and it’s super easy to clean.

Super dusty the other day, a quick hose of and wipe down and it’s looked great again.

Had the same PPF on my Land Cruiser for over a year and it’s looking great too

I’ve had a satin/matte wrapped car for years. It’s extremely easy to keep clean. My M4 is full stealth PPF (done by Supreme Wraps in Scottsdale). I use chemical guys matte detailing spray after I use a touchless wash to get the heavier dirt off. Comes out perfect every time. Since you’re in the PHX area, here’s a list of the best touchless places to wash. The one on Cave Creek is great.
