It’s a warranty replacement for headlights. Haven’t heard anyone complaining about the taillights. So, apparently the people with condensation in the tails, are keeping quieter about it.

It is not normal. My car has 27k miles on it and it’s seen a ton of rain and car washes. Not a drop of condensation in either head or tail lights. Get this fixed under warranty.

I have had some build up and go away. Apparently BMW's have a "membrane" which the light will eventually clear up the water build up. Im not sure how valid this is but it does seem to be a common theme if you search it on the forum. There are other threads with pictures for this topic.

Fog inside headlight lens was considered "normal" by the dealer and they had another car on the lot that displayed the same thing.
Only happened once after I picked up the new car and ran the headlights for the first time. |

Condensation in the taillights isn't normal. None here, and I power-wash the car at least weekly.
I did experience headlight condensation last summer, about the time BMW issued a service bulletin to install a redesigned drain vent. There's a separate thread over in the Cosmetic and Lighting Modification section, IIRC. |

For anyone experiencing the taillight condensation issue... I have it as well. Brand new car literally of the showroom floor. Washed the car a week after and noticed the condensation.
Taking to BMW in a week to see if I can get it replaced (going to try to finesse for CSL lights) |

Had that in my 2018 M2. Some guys on this forum told me that it is normal but I kept on bugging the service about it and they have replaced them under warrenty. Nothing since.
In my G82 I haven't seen that but saw it when I was at the track on a M135. Never had or seen it in any other brand that I ever had. |
