PPF Shops
How much are people paying for PPF/Ceramic? I’m located in NY. Having trouble justifying 8k for it from a shop that I trust so I wanted to ask if any of y’all have cheaper alternatives you trust.
Thanks |

Definitely Onyx detailing in Freehold, NJ. Like my twin brother(PMW0801) said, they did full paint correction/Full PPF on the entire car/ and ceramic coating and came out AMAZING!!!

while the work may be amazing, dont forget about the warranty or the followup work as well. most PFF work looks great once its done, but how does the work hold up over time and how does your installer address any issues after 1-3 months or after 6 months is just as important. its best to go to a couple of shops and go look at their work and ask them these questions

I posted this in the G05 forum awhile back:
https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1801175 Was about a 45 minute drive from the city (when I still lived up there). Really good guy, and really great work. Have been very happy with the results over the last two years. |

I had my car done at The Wrap Lab in Westbury, NY and am very happy with the results. Tell James that Lou with the yellow M4 sent you if you go!

Dynamic Tint in NJ did PPF on my car for me. Great work, great price.. great people. Highly recommend. I picked my car up in Turnersville and drove it home to Tennessee.
Anyone uses them let them know Robot sent you. They'll understand.. lol

Recently did full front end and all high impact areas PPF & full body and wheels ceramic. IMO in my experience you get what you pay for. I've done it both ways and it really depends on budget. Retail at a well-known shop in the tri-state should be roughly 4-6k

I’m in Va, $8K for the full PPF but I have also seen a few $K higher. High impact PPF is just about half that cost which is what the CTR recommended to me. I intend to do the full PPF as I’d like to know full protection is in place. My last car I only did high impact and those damn rocks found those gaps.
Ceramic coating using XPEL or equivalent ranges in the $2K budget realm. However, if you have any skill and patience ceramic coating project can be done if you have a steady hand, black light, bright lighting in your garage/shop, follow the directions to a Tee, etc. Of course this accompanies a nice washing, drying, prepping process. |

FYI - Lux is actually in Marlboro - so it’s 10 minutes closer to the NY & North NJ folks
