More thoughts as I'm adding up mileage last few days....This car is an animal. The way the power builds after 4,500 rpms is truly magical. However I am noticing coming in from a tuned up S55 that it fools you.
The last chassis gave you maximum torque way way down low. You don't get the sheer feeling of torque at low street rpms if you are used to BMW M. I suspect that this can cause people to push cars outside of their regular safety envelopes to feel excitement. The boost comes on strong but much later and when it does you better be pointing it straight. However the Jekyll and Hide personality is present like never before. It goes from a quiet executive car to a full on hoonnigan as power comes on. I removed my primary and secondary resonators and it sounds much much better. All it needs now is a JB4, downpipes to be truly explosive...I can tell there is still more power on the table. To be updated... |

Can't wait to hair what fake engine sounds electric cars put out. Oh and be ready for intentional black out of the electric grid. We'll be enjoying our outdated and antiquated ICE cars. |

I had the opportunity to lap my car today for the first time and here are my observations:
1. The G8x M3/4 is an animal. The power is really something to behold. At speeds above 62mph/100kph, the car really moves. It communicates super well what is going on and is super playful and progressive with DSC OFF. 2. The brakes are fantastic. I was braking near threshold limits and the brakes remained cool and collected at all times. Often times brakes are inferior to the speed of any given car but in this case I confirm that they felt equal. The car is heavy but masked well it's weight. 3. Built to play. As the picture will show but one of the beauty of lapping is the community and fraternity you find among other like minded M car guys. We were a train of 3 or 4 cars and it's the most amount of fun I remember having in the last few years with cars. It is fast and feels right at home on the race track.
