He doesnt have allocation. 90% dealers are shady and just promise you anything for a coin. Hey bud I wholeheartedly agree with you, I did my due diligence and props to this forum for getting me that for with learning about allocations etc. All jokes aside, I didn’t want them, do they look cool, yes! But, he had an allocation, and I had time to change my mind and all that. My cars on a ship somewhere riding the waves, and I’m extremely glad with my order thus far. Just waiting to find out about taking delivery. To each their own!

PS - Kinda wish i went frozen black instead of BSM, but maybe in the future lol

Great! I hope you will post photos, i ordered BSM. Was thinking also about frozen black but i think it will be even harder than BSM to mantain especially in winter time where car would look full of dust due the frozen look. You cant get wrong with BSM. Enjoy your ride!

I would think most likely the problem with backordered parts should be microchips. Many car factories having problems at the moment with chips and many have already stopped production for a week or 2 because of this. It wouldn't be surprising if BMW is also affected by this global problem

They are affected, read an article yesterday (german) that all models are impacted, for example they have a shortage on components for the smaller navigation system and cars are getting the big one instead.

Oher components also imapcted but so far they can continue production with shuffling around options, but it is not yet sure if they also end up with shutting down for a while as other manufacturers had to.

I think the new Corvette my parents picked up yesterday got delayed a bit by that as well.

Lucky you. It's too bad they don't put more details on the My BMW tracking page. Mine is just stuck in "production scheduled". Supposed to be week 13. I'll have to call and see if I've had any movement.

I went from week 10 to week 13 and I'm also stuck on "production scheduled" hopefully I am not lucky enough to be pushed to week 15 now

I had been week 13 and started production today. One thing that might be related, I made a last-second change to the order yesterday. I started with the 18/19" wheels and changed to the 19/20" 826M black wheels. Production started the next day. Small wheels might be back ordered or it could be the car gods decided they liked me.

wow, that's a big jump in weeks. I'd imagine most people are ordering the 19/20's though.

What are your options?

No love for me. I just called. Still week 13. She thought that might get me a something April PCD date. I asked about delays for my custom color and she didn't seem to have a clue about that. Can I change anything on my order like wheels? Didn't have a clue about that. I was told that with a custom color order that once its accepted I can't change anything. Didn't have a clue about that. The Genius' are quite as Genius as I'd expect.
