Hey everyone. Long time lurker on this forum and finally getting my g80 next week. Super pumped! I went to the dealership today to try and get all of the numbers out of the way so delivery is seamless when the time comes.
Please excuse my question if this is not the right place for it.
I'm getting a G80 Comp Xdrive and looking at 12/36. Everything I can currently gather is saying the current base MF is .00200 and residual is 55%. However the dealer (who I believe to be a genuine guy who has been great throughout this process) is telling me it's .00240. Can anyone help me verify who is right? If it is me who is correct, how would I prove that to him?
Thanks for the help!

If you post on Edmunds for the '23 G80 forums you can request base MF and RV for 12/36 and your zip code.

In terms of how to prove it... just tell them you know the base MF is X. It's not uncommon for dealers to mark up the MF, so regardless of who's right, it may not matter. For financing I negotiated base APR by threatening to go with a 3rd party lender.

Thanks for the help! Does zip code matter? I was under the impression it didn't, but I vary well may be incorrect. Roundabout way but I went into Edmunds' lease calculator which you can put in a specific model and trim and the section for money factor did indeed populate to .00200.

Yeah it's .002 but many dealers are marking it up from .0022-.0025.

I think zip code matters more for incentives which are sometimes regional. In any case the forum members who provide the information request zip code when you post asking for details.

My main issue is he is saying that .00240 is the base money factor so I feel like if there is a way to prove it I would have a case for him to lower it

Keep in mind the base money factor varies by credit tier. Dealers can mark up the money factor, but even if they are not marking up the money factor the base rate could be higher if you did not qualify in the top tier for BMWFS. You can ask to see the approval from BMWFS, but as others said just tell them you are seeing a base money factor of XXXX, and ask them why there is a variance - is it credit tier, or markup?

Thanks for the tip and help. My credit is top notch so that isn't discrepancy. On Monday I'll go back and give those things a try.
