Hey everyone. Long time lurker on this forum and finally getting my g80 next week. Super pumped! I went to the dealership today to try and get all of the numbers out of the way so delivery is seamless when the time comes.
Please excuse my question if this is not the right place for it. I'm getting a G80 Comp Xdrive and looking at 12/36. Everything I can currently gather is saying the current base MF is .00200 and residual is 55%. However the dealer (who I believe to be a genuine guy who has been great throughout this process) is telling me it's .00240. Can anyone help me verify who is right? If it is me who is correct, how would I prove that to him? Thanks for the help! |

In terms of how to prove it... just tell them you know the base MF is X. It's not uncommon for dealers to mark up the MF, so regardless of who's right, it may not matter. For financing I negotiated base APR by threatening to go with a 3rd party lender.

Keep in mind the base money factor varies by credit tier. Dealers can mark up the money factor, but even if they are not marking up the money factor the base rate could be higher if you did not qualify in the top tier for BMWFS. You can ask to see the approval from BMWFS, but as others said just tell them you are seeing a base money factor of XXXX, and ask them why there is a variance - is it credit tier, or markup?
