i think the price difference is worth it for the g80. you can use the back seats. there are way more color options inside and out to make it your own.
price difference is going to be different to different people. depends on how thin youre stretching yourself to get into a g87. if you can 'easily' afford the 65k g87 then i think its worth it to stretch a bit to the g80.

I'm all for shorter wheelbase cars but a 4" shorter wheelbase vs. no surround cameras, nearly unusable back seats, lower quality leather, less power, and not a huge price difference (6MT vs. 6MT).
The price difference could be higher if you spec'd out the M4 with full leather, full carbon pack, etc..., but since many of those items just aren't available on the M2 at all, they don't really come into play. Look comparisons are way too subjective to discuss...big nose vs Lego. I could live with the looks of either and consider it a wash. |

If I had to choose again I’d go M2. Mainly because same engine, suspension, breaks, trans, and similar interior dash and seats for nearly 20k less.
I love my G80 but a buck is a buck. The M2 is a hell of a bargain in comparison. However with the M3/4 you have more luxury options and you can make it more personable. |

I was on the same boat when I was looking to buy my new car. I had M2, M3, M4, some American muscle, Supra and 918 in the list of cars I was considering.
I ended up with G80 6MT because: M2 is ugly in my eyes M2 is heavy compared to M3 Unusable back seat Less options I have zero regrets. |

I had a M4CX on order but ended up buying a M3CX (which was what I wanted from the beginning) from the showroom instead. The M3CX was ordered by a customer who ended up buying a M2 instead, allegedly. I didn't think people cross shoped the M2. I personally think the M2 is ugly but the price is right for what you get, I guess. If money isn't a limiting factor, I'd opt for a M4 instead of the M2. To each his own.

Yea but that’s like most cars when you add a ton of options.
Base 6 speed M3 to base 6 speed M2 is 13.8k if a difference, automatic trans versions is 18k difference, but only because your jumping to a M3 competition. Honestly these M cars come with a great list of standards features. |
