Hello all,

I got a week 47 (2022) build G80 and although I have the wireless charging logo in my phone tray and the phone gets cooked every time I put it there, it just doesn't charge.

I'm taking the car for break-in service tomorrow and was wondering if it's a defect or the wireless charging was just removed, because I wasn't told anything about it.

I have Premium package, but I don't see it in the 2022 configurator, so excuse my ignorance.

I don't care about the useless option, I just want the $ credit if applicable

Check your phone tray and see which icon that you have.
I also thought I have the wireless charging option initially.
But I just got a smart key card detect tray (right pic).
If you have wireless charging option. You should also have a LED indicator when charging (left pic).

Wow thanks for the info.
My SA never mentioned it was removed, I bet he didn't know.

It doesn't show up as a standard equipment or optional on the current configurator... do you know if it was standard at some point? I could swear I saw it either as standard or in the premium package.

It's now a standalone option for the 23's, along with Ventilated Seats and Universal Garage opener. They're no longer included in the premium package. It's on the order sheet but not in the configurator.

Likely you do not have it… I have same issue (G82CX 2022). Was expecting it but got deleted due chip shortage I believe.

I looked up the spec sheet with my SA today and it turns out it was a standalone option I hadn't selected... I could have sworn it was somewhere in the specs.

Super easy to add and code, did it the other night.

Btw the picture posted for the charger is wrong - yours will look the same as your current one but have a battery symbol inside the card reader nfc symbol and a blue led on the side closer to you that lights up when you place your phone. Plus…during CarPlay your phone will obviously show it's charging.
